When Did Snick Start on Nickelodeon?

I was just a kid when Snick started but I remember watching it every Saturday night from the beginning (or at least I think it was) I remember the shows being: Clarissa Explains It All, Roundhouse, Ren & Stimpy & Are You Afraid of the Dark...when did the series of shows start? In the DVD of Pete & Pete the shows of Snick are not listed on the list of shows on in 1993.

Roundhouse was my favorite. Even though I was 31 when this came on, I thought it was quite funny and well acted by the young actors.

Taken from imdb.com

Round House" was a successful sketch comedy show on Nickeloedeon for the adolescents in the audience. The skits revolved around a central theme, like dealing with the first day of high school or being the new kid in town. The skits usually led up to a song stating the central "moral" for the show.

I can't believe that I was only 8 years old when Snick came about, but I do remember staying up on Saturday nights and watching Snick all the way through, then I'd watch SNL which, of course, I didn't actually get because I was only 8 but I did it every Saturday. Good Old Days

I remember Roundhouse was actually sort of risque in the beginning, since they said "damn" and "ass" and "hell" a couple of times.

I remember watching Clarissa one night and hearing Clarissa say something like "The mom (could have been dad) from hellll!"

I was shocked, then I thought to myself "that was cool".
