Don't count on it.

The thought of one makes me salivate...

I'd love to see a Special Edition of Grosse Pointe Blank. It needs a new anamorphic transfer, plus a "making of" documentary would also be very cool.

This is a great movie, and it deserves a better DVD release than the current version.

I agree, I've been waiting to buy this for a while. I guess I'll just bite the bullet and get the current.

Haven't heard anything...but I'm drooling at the thought alone. I want a 2-disk CE!

Yeah, one of my fave movies and I'd double-dip in a second. Gave up on waiting for an SE last year and got the Japanese R2 for the anamorphic transfer. Not an extras person but I still would love to have some for this movie.

The back cover of the LD had some pics of deleted scenes. Such a tease!

That's what I've been doing for 5 years...waiting for a SE of GPB.

It's a cult classic. Absolutely deserving.

This flick is on one of the Encore channels 18 times a week. And I swear to God, about half of the times I come across it, I wind up watching it to the end.

As piss poor as the current DVD is, I never bothered upgrading from my LaserDisc.

And yes, Minnie is a total babe.

minnie has got an album out at the moment, it's quite good. she began as a singer in the late 80's and even sang on a number 1 record for a band called s-express.

Grosse Point Blank, Raising Arizona and Office Space are the biggest titles I've been holding off buying for years now in hope of something anamorphic and more substantial in the extras department. In both cases I'm amazed the respective studios have not answered the call.

We've heard that for at least 2 years now. I'll believe it once the laser hits the platter.

Will they ever upgrade Grosse Point Blank?

I would love to see a decent version of Grosse Point Blank. It was my first DVD and maybe my favorite movie of the 90's besides Clerks. I have never seen any extras.

Ackroyd is at his funniest in years and Joan Cusack is even funnier than he is. John Cusack plays great straight man and Piven is also great.

Last year was the 10th anniversary and they ignored it. Someday, though -- it's non-anamorphic, so that is a good reason for Disney to get on it...eventually.

I'd go for an anamorphic SE of the movie.

Sign me up, big time. The current DVD is so bad, I'm still watching it on LaserDisc!

If there was going to be an upgrade, they'd do it to coincide with War, Inc., which looks fascinatingly like a pseudo-sequel to GPB. That's obviously not happening, though.
