Wario Ware: Twisted!

This game looks sweet! IGN has their review up:

10 Presentation
The game is fun, frantic, and jams in as much "stuff" as possible to create an experience unlike anything you've ever played before.
8.5 Graphics
The graphics are all over the spectrum, but it's all intentional. And the crude drawing style actually adds flair to the design.
8.5 Sound
Tons of voice from characters, and a huge amount of tunes to unlock and tweak in the Souvenir shop.
9.5 Gameplay
The only downside, if it really can be considered one, is that you'll have to keep your eyes on the twisting LCD screen. It's a game that fits the handheld system like a glove. Brilliant.
9.0 Lasting Appeal
Though the story mode's over in a couple of hours, to open up everything in this cartridge will take way longer.
9.5 OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)

I've been waiting for this one for awhile now, sounds like a generally crazy and unique game. And speaking of crazy, the wario ware twisted website is seriously on LSD, sometimes nintendo does stuff so unpredictable they've got to be the funniest company i've ever seen.

got to play a little of this game when a nintendo rep stopped by a couple weeks ago at work. it was really fun, and I am definitely going to get it. the cartridge is built different/specialized, like the on for Boktai 2, so it will work on either the DS or the GBA SP

Wow, looks like this is a lot better than Touched!. I haven't picked that one up yet since all the reviews said it was way easier than the original and quick to unlock everything. Sounds like this one's a little more involved.

Too bad no one is going to have it on sale on release date. Best Buy didn't even list it in this week's sale flyer.

Picked it up this morning at Blockbuster. It was $29.99, but I was just using store credit anyway. I'll post my thoughts after I get a chance to play it.

I've only played 2 levels but so far this game rocks (ugh, literally). The cart is oversized but the feedback is nice, it let's you feel how far you're tilted. I'm glad I finally have a reason to pick up my SP again, the PSP was fun but cannot hold a candle to Nintendo produced titles.

I've got like $80 in credit at Blockbuster since I cancelled MVP Baseball so I'm going to go and pick this one up.

Finally getting the hang of playing this one. It is really good.

BTW, it does unlock the Mona music video in Wario Ware Touched if you have this in the cart slot when starting Touched.

Like I said, I did indeed get this game today. I've played quite a bit of it, and I love it. I love these Wario Ware games, I'm a huge sucker for em. This game plays a LOT better than I thought it would when I first heard of the idea. Just as I've said for all of the Wario Ware games, I give this one two thumbs up.

this game just shows those Nintendo guys can be ingenious when they set their minds to it
(I'm sure games like this also are worth the extra effort for them since they are much harder to pirate)

Really? Nice TOUCH!

Dunno how I missed it in the Best Buy flyer... still $29.99 is their regular price, not on sale.

I'm tempted to buy an SP for this game alone. (and the huge back library in the long run)

Worth it?

Sure, but I'd suggest getting a DS instead if you can afford the extra $$$.

The GBA has a ton of great games, the DS has a better screen and is larger (and thus IMO more comfortable to play) and has some great games coming out in the future.

I think it would be worth it to pick up the SP and Wario Ware Twisted and Zelda Minish Cap. Two of the best games I have played this year. Wario Ware Twisted is actually a bit easier to play on the SP. Its smaller so you can turn faster. Some of the minigames in this one are very tough.

Good game so far. I was surprised that some games make you actually keep turning the SP around, going hand over hand like a steering wheel; I was expecting to just have to tilt it a bit left or right.

has anyone played this game on a DS? I am wondering how comfertable to be turning the DS around and around since it is bigger than an SP.

I've played it on both and its playable on the DS, but much easier on the SP. You do have minigames that require quick and 360 turning and that can be difficult with the DS.

I've been having a ton of fun with this game. Easily my favorite of the WarioWare games to date.

Has anyone gotten to the third tower yet? It's the one where you start out with only one life. I cannot get higher than 12 on that. I don't know why, but I am sucking it up at those games. Anyone know what level is needed to unlock the next question mark?

I believe its 25 on each tower to unlock the next one.
