Fry's Ad 5/20: 1-Day Sale!

Here's the entertainment software listings from the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (HOU), Chicago (IL), Los Angeles/Orange County (LA), San Jose/Silicon Valley (SJ), and Washington state (WA) Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - Austin, Sacramento, San Diego, AZ, GA, IN, NV, OR), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

If anyone knows of a website to view any further ads, please let me know.

Unless otherwise indicated, items below are listed in all six (DFW, HOU, IL, LA, SJ, and WA) ads.

Again YMMV -- BB needs to be consistent. Last week or so when Fry's had Spaceballs and Phantom for 13.99 I was able to PM both without any problem. In fact the Phantom pic was for the 2-disk and its SKU was the 1-disk, but the cashier really did not even look at the pic, just say made the PM and then said "great price" about the Phantom one. At the end she wanted to keep the ad (I think she wanted to use it as she was just going to cut out that part of the ad, but I said keep the whole thing - she said "are you sure")

YMMV

Pure bullshit on the part of Best Buy.

Below cost? That's ridiculous, they probably buy them at $10 or so.

Yup.
They're real good about advertising that they price-match (omitting a lot of details) then make a big hassle about it when you call them on it.

Think about this, these "employees" just work there. What do they get from turning down someone who wants to price match? Are the employees getting a percentage of the sales from Best Buy? Hell no.

I wouldn't doubt for a second that there is something more going on at the corporate level.
