DVD Talk review of 'The Green Butchers'
I read Preston Jones's DVD review of The Green Butchers at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=15906 and...
This is absolutely stunning information. I can not BELIEVE nor UNDERSTAND why (???) Columbia will all of a sudden begin releasing non-anamorphic transfers. I don't even remember the last time they released a non-16/9 foreign title.
I take your review as a solid confirmation that this is a non-16/9 transfer...unless you have some additional info to add up.
This new trend really is starting to upset me quite a bit. It is getting ridiculous...when one has to look overseas ...every time for the best version of a particular non-US production.
Regards,
Pro-B

I have the Danish disc at home so can't confirm, but I'm pretty sure it's 16:9.
Definitely got English subs. The US disc looks a waste of space.

It's indeed non-anamorphic ... the back of the case reads as follows: "4x3 Letterbox." I was pretty stunned myself, considering this is a really recent title that got limited release in the States.
