I've only seen one review (I think it was on IGA? if that sounds familar) any more reputible sites reviewed this?

Video quality is pretty shabby, looking not much better than a poor video dub on a number of eps. The Day of the Dot episode is simply awful looking, and the worst of the lot. Kind of disappointing, but that's the breaks.

Yeah, the video quality is acceptible, but clearly not remastered. It's better than the bootlegs and taped off TV versions I've had over the years.
Day of the Dot is really the only REALLY bad example, I'm pretty forgiving with this though because I'm just happy to have it. Hopefully the Season 2 and 3 DVDs will be a bit better quality.
