(Yet Another "The Life Aquatic DVD" Thread) 2-Disc CC Only $18.96 @ Wal-Mart...YMMV
Sorry to start up yet another one, but I know if I were interested in this, I'd like for this post to stand out rather than weed through all the other ones.
On my quest to purchase this today, I went to Best Buy with the galpal and found them plum out of it.
Next stop was the Blockbuster across the street. Obviously it would be more expensive there, but I had some credit I could unload. No luck there.
So, I call the BBV by my house, and they didn't carry any in stock. The manager later that week they'd get some in. Boo!!!
So, dragging the galpal along, we went to Circuit City. [Stewie]Blast!!![/Stewie] They were out of it, too. "Who ARE these people in the Santa Clarita Valley that are buying these?", I thought to myself.
Wal-Mart is in the same shopping center, so I figured "what the hell, I'll give 'em a try." It's not that I didn't want to go there because they'd be more expensive. I knew it would be pretty competitively priced, but I just didn't think they'd carry the 2-Disc version.
Well, sure enough, they did. And (sans all the driving), I saved money on the dvd. I would've gone to a CompUSA, but the nearest one is 35 minutes away and, well, I could wait for that. Costco has this version on the cheap, and it's actually only 5 min. away from my house, but I don't have a membership card.
So, I thought I'd give everyone who wants this movie a heads up, in case they don't have a Furniture Mart, Costco, or CompUSA (or insert any other store that gets mentioned here) by their homes.
Signing off.
(P.S. Pilot, I won't feel offended at the least if you decide to close this thread. I understand we've got more than our fair share of TLAWSZ threads.)
