This is just a vent! I love my country and it's people, what I'm tired of is putting things on the back-burner in hopes that someday someone else will resolve it. I'm sure someone will come up with a smart-arse comment and that's fine.... I'm just simply stating how I feel at this present moment.
I'm sick and tired of the way we do things here. I'm tired of letting crazy, sick people off and back into our society to harm again.
If someone murders someone, don't send them to ail for a 6 year term, or even 15. Drop their arses off smack in the middle of Baghdad and let the Iraqi's take care of them. If you rape a person, you should be sent to the really bad parts of India or Africa where they sell children for $5 to have sex with them... take those children out of the equation and give them our rapists instead. Let them see what it feels like. If you steal, you have to be sent into the hearts of Cuba with all of your possessions and be stolen from, beaten and whatever else they want to do to you. If you sell drugs to a child, you should have to live naked in the hell holes of Columbia and work it out with the drug dealers there, only after having your balls sliced in half by the childs parents.
I'm all for having to go to trial to decide on a life sentence to Bagdhad or Iran or China. Or let's start up prison camps again and make these bastards really pay for their crimes.
And another thing - Close down the fricken borders! We currently have over 2 million illegal immigrants in the US. And they are multiplying. They are coming in to bear their children so they will have dual citizinship and be able to work here. They have websites with information on how to get into the country to give birth. There are people moving in to states like California at a rate of 2000 per day, Colorado at 2000 per month, cities like Las Vegas at 2000 a month. In 60 years we will have tripled our population. Where are we going to get the water, the land, the resources to feed all these people? Are we going to sit back and continue to let this happen simply because we want to be the "land of the free"? Where's the free in having to stack on top of each other like in a third world country because there's too many fricken people here and we have no homes for them anymore? No food, no water, no clothes? I don't want my kids to live here having to beg cheat and steal in order to survive another day of their hellish lives.

So what brought this on was hearing that those poor girls that were found stabbed in Illinois yesterday my have been killed by one of the girl's fathers! What is wrong with people? And last night listening to the statistics in which we are adding to our population by simply letting illegals in to the country, without any checks or balances. I'm truly saddened by all of this. Thinking that I have 3 children who might have to fight just to survive another day.

Yes, that's a great idea. Better not step over the line, or you'll just vanish from the country! One strike and you're out! That way, we'll have a happy, secure police state. After all, that concept has worked so well for every other country throughout history.

It is estimated that there are currently over 20 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., with around half of them coming from Mexico. There is also a 7-billion dollar people-smuggling operation originating in Asia that is contributing to the problem. Illegal immigrants have taken over many blue collar jobs and driven down the salary for such positions.
Beyond the economic damage, resources such as water will become increasingly scarce in many locales, due to the burdens of overpopulation.
If we do nothing, we commit our children and all living things to a difficult future by not addressing overpopulation now. It's a disservice to ourselves, our nation and future generations.

Driving down the salaries of positions is doing economic damage? Maybe to someone who was being paid more to do the same work, but it sure is an economic boon to the end consumer of the product.
I have no problem with people coming from other countries to live and work here. I'd prefer we made it easier for them to do so legally. I fail to see how anyone in the United States has the right to the standard of living here that other human beings shouldn't have access to.

For the record, I don't have a problem with the melting pot that our society is today. In fact, I welcome it. I am native American, but I also have ancestors that came from Europe. Without our country's open arms, I wouldn't be here. What I do have a problem with is the ignorance that some have towards our future with the circumstances that we are under today. You seem to be ignoring the future problems. I have yet to see any of you come up with a possible solution to the economic downfall or the lack of water to keep our children alive. Would you move to a thrid world country and be happy with that? Why sit back and let this happen to your grandchildren and so-on? Well, our standard of living is obviously in flux. cf, "working poor." While minimum wage has stagnated, productivity has risen - people are working harder for less value.
While I can't give an opinion on what constitutes a "fair" standard of living, I will state - adamantly - that American workers should be a lot more concerned and active about this. It's a zero-sum game, people - and the only people paying attention to it are those who oppose you...

Right. Because that's the only way to close it down.
How about applying to come in to live. How about doing it legally instead of illiegally and trying to better the economy here like some other countries require you to do if you plan on living there? What about actually making people accountable for the length of stay that they "say" they plan on being here for. What about having to attend school to learn the language and the way of life here instead of being pissed off that nobody can understand you and not trying to better yourself because you feel you have a "right" to be here since your family is in dire straights back home?

Now this is just a guess, but I think the people who sneak across are the ones who were denied legal entry. I can't imagine that they would sneak across the desert if they could just fill out some paperwork and take a Greyhound.

There is a problem with the immigration system in regards to bottlenecking, sure, but we shouldn't just let people break the law at will and not do anything to fix the system. That is what is happening now.
What needs to be done is to fix the system... however, you can't fix the system with millions upon millions being added to the problem every year. It would take very little to secure the border, just a little bit of money and a few balls, and then we could get some breathing room and work on the immigration system.
Of course, some people don't like this idea either, because they know that even if we do revamp the immigration system, we're still not going to allow every single Mexican to come here. Even in a working immigration system, we still can't take on the whole population of another nation.

Right.
Now if we could maybe shut down the employers, or somehow hold them accountable for their actions in hiring illegals (and I'm not just speaking of Mexicans). That would be a good start. Quit hiring them, and they'll quit wanting to come here to make more money than they are at home.
Have a system and actually try using it (there's a thought) to keep people from coming in and crapping on our soil. I can't tell you how sick I am of hearing that our country sucks, from people who aren't supposed to be here in the first place!
Don't tax me to pay for welfare and health benefits for people who are too lazy to work or can't work because they are here illegally and are sick and hungry. I have a hard enough time paying fr my own damn family.

Fine, then it's a creation of the Nixon administration :p.
I didn't know what else to call the idea that there is a guy forcing kids to buy drugs.

If you're saying that there wasn't so much attention given to the idea that dealers sold to kids, there is a reson for that, other than Reagan era hype. I see the Reagan era hype as more of a response to social conditions rather than any orchestrated falsehood; over the years, drugs have been more and more prevalent in younger people, so naturally, the dealers are going to exploit that market. You may say that they're not 'forcing kids to buy drugs', and that they're just meeting demand, but the Regan administration, and a whole bunch of parents as well, felt that drugs weren't the best thing for kids to be doing, and that it was illegal to do drugs anyway, so they figured they'd say something about it all.

Which is why drugs no longer exist :)!
This is the subject for a different thread. I apologize for going offtopic.

Oh, I think you've got the terminology correct, the boogieman who stops a kid on his way home from school and pushes him to try some crack is indeed the 'pusherman'. The thing is that he isn't a myth created by any president, he's a reality created by the drug culture.

There is no such thing as a guy that "makes" people buy crack, but I digress this is another thread in and of itself.

Now you're getting into semantics. Sure, no one 'makes' anyone do anything. My mamma told me that.
But if you don't think older high school kids, who were suppliers of drugs, didn't stop younger kids and try to 'enlighten' them and didn't threaten to kick their ass if they didn't give something a try, I'd have to say you're wrong. Sure, they didn't make anyone take any drugs, but they made you take a choice; take the drugs, or be terrorized. And don't say it doesn't ever happen that way, because I'm tellin' ya, I lived through it. And I'm only in Dallas. Imagine Harlem or Oakland.

Ok, for the third and final time and I will state that this is offtopic and needs to be in its own thread. If you continue to try to engage me in a discussion of this matter I will notify the administrators.

You can't make me stay off topic, it's my own choice -ptth-!
I have a feeling that the two of us both have strong feelings about the war on drugs and I know that if I personally post any more about it in a thread that isn't specifically about the war on drugs I will get in trouble with the mods and bring the thread down.
I am more than willing to discuss it in a thread if someone would like to create one. :)

Nah, it's all good man. I really don't have any hardline takes on the WoD; it's a very complicated issue and both 'sides' have valid points. The only reason I got into this here was I caught that about the Reagan admin coining the term 'pusherman' (that's how I read it, althouhg that may not be exactly what you meant) and just stepped in for a history lesson, is all.
And threads often go off topic without mod action, so long as all stays civil. But with respect to the OP, I'll shut up now too. No need for another thread; there are already a few out there on the subject, and I've pretty much said all I was interested in saying.
