Movies that portray common phobias...

Anyone know movies that show common phobias (claustrophobia, acrophobia, etc)? I need to show clips of various phobias from films for a psychology project. It doesn't need to be the central focus of the film, maybe just a small part. So far all I can think of is Vertigo, though I'm sure some films have parts portraying phobias....

I haven't seen it, but wouldn't The Aviator touch on elements of Hughes' fear of germs?

Heh, it came to mind...never seen it, but are there parts which show arachnophobia, or is it simply about giant spiders?

Copycat Sigourney Weaver was afraid to leave her apartment. I don't know the name of the phobia though.

The Truman Show maybe for fear of water.
The Halls of Montezuma if memory serves me right has a scene involving a student who stutters and as a result has a fear of public speaking.

Agoraphobia. (Agrophobia seems to be a common misspelling.)

The Village - Fear of being a good movie.

Seriously though, how about Fearless and Adaptation.

I just saw "Nobody Knows" earlier today which might display a child's fear of abandonment by the parent. However, none of the children actually display a fear of it. They just simply try to accept that mom is never home. So I guess it doesn't count.

Does The Vanishing count toward taphephobia? That's the fear of being buried alive.

storm in xmen is claustrophobic. do the movies portray this? hmmm. not sure.

i question some of these movies tho. stuff like as good as it gets, what about bob, i'm not sure they convey phobias per se. as good as it gets is about OCD if anything and what about bob is, well i forget. but he's more just kinda crazy isn't he?

maybe bill and teds bogus journey? maybe some horror movies like nightmare on elm? hehehe. there's ghost for fear of commitment on patrick's part. ditto....

There are no giant spiders. They are regular spiders who are extra venomous. Additionally, the main character does in fact have Arachnophobia. It's actually a pretty fun movie.

Surprised nobody's mentioned the Indiana Jones movies. "Snakes? Why'd it have to be snakes!"
