DVD Talk review of 'Leonard Part 6'

I read Scott Weinberg's DVD review of Leonard Part 6 at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=15632 and...

although I agree it's a horrable movie. I will buy it and watch it, and laugh. I like it. Can't explain why, but I do.

This review was terrible. It's because of jerk reviewers like him we'll never see Howard the Duck ever hit DVD.

Same here. It's a bad movie, but I disagree with the reviewer that it's so bad that you can't enjoy it. Maybe it's due to the nostalgia factor--I remember laughing at this movie when I was younger--but I really thought that review was overly harsh. Despite what Cosby says/said, a movie called "Leonard Part 6" (with no parts 1-5 in existence) is a movie that shouldn't be taken seriously by its viewers, because it obviously wasn't taken seriously by its creators. I don't think they were trying to make a masterpiece here.

Umm...Scott could offer to re-shingle the Skywalker Ranch by hand using duct tape and clothes pins and Lucas would STILL never allow this to be released.

Or wait...how 'bout...George is scheduled to release Howard right after releasing the Star Wars Holiday Special.

How's it feel to have this much power Scott?

Lucas let the Ewok movies and Willow get releases. I'm sure its not a matter of pride.

Jerk reviewers, lol...

You're right. He should have lied and said how great it was. One man's review isn't going to make it to Lucas's desk and make him change his grand plans for the Howard the Duck HD-DVD SE.

If reviews meant anything to Lucas, would there have been Attack of the Clones? The WHOLE WORLD told him that Jar Jar was the most insipid character EVER and he still put him in AOTC.

Keep up the good work Scott.

I suspect he was being ironic. Or not.

(P.S. You do know that Quick Change has been announced, right, CD?)

True. And I'm with you on Scavenger Hunt. Can't wait to revisit that one so I end up humiliated to admit that I realllllly liked it when I was a kid.

Oh, and it's Hangar 18. "Hanger 18" would be a slasher flick about a homicidal fashion designer.
