Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

Literally, where in the world is the movie? I had just came across an old copy of the computer game while cleaning and remembered there was suppose to be a movie.

So I did a little search:

http://www.themovieinsider.com/movie...armen_Sandiego

Is this true? March 2006? Or is it just bull?

I think Catherine Zeta-Jones would be prefert to play Carmen.

No, Rockapella has gone through changes over the years. That picture is the first time I've seen the latest incarnation of the group. They never had black guys in it before. Looks like the original bass singer is now gone too. Sean (can't think of his last name) was the original lead singer, but he went solo while the Carmen Sandiego show was still taping new. The blonde guy on the right has been the lead since Sean left. It'll be interesting to hear how they sound now that the group dynamic has changed. I've got 2 of their CDs (Don't Tell Me You Do, and Rockapella 2) and they're very good.

It would be better if they released the TV show on DVD. Damn I always ruled at those giant maps at the end.

its been a long time, but the maps struck me as phsyically too large. i dont think i saw many people win and frequerntly they just didnt have the time to plant all the beacons, let alone get them right.

Also, while enjoying the theme song (which I've been jamming to for literally 45 minutes or so)...be sure to note the power of Google. I swear to fucking god, they're going to take over the world. This is only the first remarkable step. Mark my word..

Re: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has acquired the live-action feature film rights to Carmen Sandiego and has attached Gina Rodriguez to star as the title character. Rodriguez, who won a Golden Globe for Jane the Virgin and continues to play the character, began her transfer to feature star with the Alex Garland-directed Annihilation and continues with the remake of the thriller Miss Bala that Sony Pictures releases January 25. She will produce Carmen Sandiego through her I Can and I Will productions alongside Kevin Misher and Caroline Fraser who will also produce. Misher’s Misher Films produced Miss Bala.

Andy Berman of Misher films is exec producer.

This is an extension of the brand as Netflix last year announced a new Carmen Sandiego animated series for 2019 with Rodriguez voicing the title character. Publisher and learning company Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) is the owner of the Carmen Sandiego property. Caroline Fraser is head of HMH Productions and is the executive producer of the Carmen Sandiego Netflix original series and feature film. A line of books from HMH featuring Carmen will launch in 2019 timed to the series release.

The movie will be a standalone Carmen adventure that will embrace the beloved ’90s property. No writer or director is yet attached to the movie. Rodriguez also voiced a lead role in the upcoming Warner Bros. animated film Small Foot. Catherine Hardwicke directed Miss Bala, the remake of the Best Foreign Film Oscar nominated Mexican pic about a beauty pageant contestant who witnesses the brutality of a drug gang and is dragged into their dangerous business.

CAA and attorney Karl Austen rep Rodriguez.

I played some of the games on PC when I was younger but I don’t have many memories of the show.

Re: Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

I loved the show as a kid, it was educational and fun at the same time. I played the game on computer, so I would definitely consider watching any movie. Its Sad Lynne Thigpen passed away in 2003. I'm sure the theme song would get updated.

I hope Rodriguez keeps the muscles she put on for Annihilation so she doesn't have any trouble lifting the magnifying glass.
