What are some good co-op GameCube games?
I haven't played a video game in at least six months... In fact, I haven't even had a console hooked up in that long. But in a couple of weeks I'm going to visit my brother and I'd like to bring a couple of co-op games to play on his GameCube.
So far, I'm considering getting X-Men Legends and Serious Sam. Does Viewtiful Joe 2 have a co-op mode? The reviews are unclear. What about Zelda: Four Swords Adventures?
Any recommendations for other good co-op GameCube games? I'm not looking for competitive games (have enough of those already) and I'm not looking for non-GameCube games.
Thanks!

I have one GBA. Not good enough, huh?
I should add that my brother and I are definitely more interested in action/adventure games than party games or golf games. Zelda sounds great if we can do it without a second GBA.
I'll look into Super Monkey Ball to see what kind of co-op modes there are.

Yeah, you need one GBA per player but it is so fucking worth it.
Viewtiful Joe does not have 2 player mode.
Tales of Symphonia can do multi-player, but that's a LONG game, and anybody that's not player one has to sit out during all the non-battle stuff.
Seriously, try to borrow another GBA if at all possible.
The Ninja Turtles games might be good too, I haven't played them.

I have no trouble believing that Zelda is amazing. It's my favorite franchise of all time. It probably won't be practical for me to get another GBA, but I'll see what I can do.
I'll see if I can get Ninja Turtles for cheap. That one might be good, if it's anything like Turtles in Time from the arcade/SNES days.
SuprVgeta--thanks for the tip. My brother's a Star Wars fan so that sounds great.

Mario Kart was fun playing co-op, one player drives and the other uses/steals items. Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike had Rogue Leader entirely co-op. Very fun.

Resident Evil 4.
ok so it's not multiplayer or co-op but if you haven't played a game in awhlie you need to pick this one up, it's the game of the year in my book. It's incredible just watching it.
Zelda Four swords for GC is seriously the greatest multiplayer game ever created, if you've got the resources there is no greater experience, but sounds like you don't.
There is Pikmin 2! I played this one with my sister, it's pretty fun.
Mario Kart Double Dash!!- it's mario kart, and it rocks 2 player (or 4 player even)
Tales of Symphonia is multiplayer in the battles, we had a good time with that.
Ikaruga is a fantasicly challenging but rewarding 2 player old school shooter.
since i'm on old school, Alien Hominid kicks ass too! only $29 bucks
Rebel Strike is another good co-op game, especially since star wars fever is running amuck with the release of ep3
