Not that I need one anytime soon, but ...
When I bought my Sony 50" LCD over XMAS, I was told that the bulb would last between 3 and 4 thousand hours and that the replacement bulb was about $265 or so.
I asked the sales manager at Tweeter where I would get one to replace it,a nd he said I'd have to call Sony. So Ic alled Sony and they said I had to contact my retailer.

Call a certified Sony technician in you area. They can get them, or give you the right Sony number to get one. On my Panasonic they changed the warranty and are now allowing customers to replace this themselves and have extended the warranty to one year. I may call them up next month for a replacement so I have one on hand before my warranty is out.
