This was probably my favourite cartoon growing up other then Turtles. I loved this show. I don't know why it hasn't come out? I mean it would sell really well. I don't know what there waiting for I think Gord Lacey from tvshowsondvd.com said in anoather forum that Sony had last time he checked had no plans for it. But ThunderCats really surprised me and with He-Man coming out this year too I hope Sony takes a hint.

I think I would pick up the first season and maybe season two, but that's it. That first season was very smart, using a lot of lore and myth to build its ghosts (think Sammhein), but by the time it became SLIMER and the Real Ghostbusters I wanted to shoot the show in the face.

Yeah the initial seasons were really dark, not much comedy. The Arsenio Hall years were the best, not very good when Dave Coulier was brought on.
And how bout a release for the 'fake' Ghostbusters with the oragutan and the gun that shot a big wad of bubblegum...
It had a catchy theme song...
No one knows what I'm talking about.

I know what you're talking about. I turned it on one day thinking it was "The Real Ghostbusters", and received a shock my young mind was almost not prepared to handle.

I know what you are talking about also.
Filmation's Ghostbusters (with the ape) actually came first. That cartoon is based on the short-lived live action kids show ("The Ghost Busters") that Filmation did in the late 70s.
I liked its theme song more than the whole "who you gonna call". Very catchy surreal sounding theme song from Levy/Saban. "Let's gooo ghostbusters!"
