Gamestop B2G1 Sale
It is on again. Gamestop has the Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale. How long? I don't know.... I got Donnie Darko DC, Black Hawk Down 3-Disc Deluxe, and Mask of Zorro Superbit Deluxe for a total of $21.38. All discs were like new..... YMMV

Awesome....went this morning and picked up some goodies...
I found the New XXX that just came out for $5.99, so I decided to look a little more for some other movies.
5 minutes later, an employee puts out Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
So I snatch up the 3 disney titles for the Buy 2 get 1 Free.

Called one of the other local Gamestop stores today, they said the sale was on. I'm guessing that the store I went to last night hadn't been notified (they say they always get last minute notification so they can't warn friends to hold off on buying things). They certainly would have told me if the sale was going on if they knew about it.
U6C84, GREAT find on those Disney titles! There aren't many titles that I would buy at regular price from Gamestop, but Beauty & The Beast is one of them. If all 3 were in good condition, you got at least a $70 value on those 3 titles.

Yeah they were in great condition. Had all of the original inserts, and the slip covers too. I was shocked when they brought it out, and kind of disappointed at the same time, because I just purchased all 3 of these movies within the past month. He also brought out the Toy Story 2 pack, but I decided to pass on that since I bought 2 of those in the past month from the same gamestop.

I got:
Murder One: Season 1 $5.99 (cheap because not in their system)
Vera Drake $5.99 (cheap because not in their system)
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers $0.00
All of the $5.99 titles were 2-for-$10, so with my 10% discount, the total was $9 plus tax. So that's one 6-disc boxset, one new release, and one cheap title for less than $10 out the door.

Too bad this sale wasn't going on earlier in the week when I picked up Deadwood S1, Dead Like Me S1 and Alias S3.
Hit 2 stores tonight. One in the local mall, the other across the street from the mall. We have 4 Gamestops in this area, and that's how they're all situated... one in a mall, one across the street. Sorta wasteful, I think.
Anyhow...
Store 1:
Quantum Leap S1
Greatest American Hero S1
Man Show S1 V1
Total: $38.14
Store 2:
This is the stupid store. You have to check the discs over, because the employees will take almost anything. Many a time they can't even find the discs. On top of that, if you buy more than 3 titles in a B2G1 sale, you have to make separate purchases for each group of 3, or you get the absolute lowest value ones for free. They swear this is corporate policy, even though every other store in the state that I've been to has said they're full of crap. Anyhow...
Group 1:
Quantum Leap S1
Quantum Leap S2
Disney's Around the World in 80 Days
Total: $47.68
Group 2:
Challenge of the Superfriends ($12.99)
Resident Evil (Deluxe Edition) ($9.99)
Superman: The Animated Series - V1
Total: $21.92
Good deal on that second group. Superfriends sells new for $29 at Best buy, and Superman V1 sells new for $25.

Well, I decided to do the rounds today, and hit up 7 GameStops. Pretty much the same crap at all the stores, and no good deals on boxsets, which is what I was hoping for. I did see a couple Fox Lorber Hard Boileds (at the Mall at Millenia & Edgewater stores), and a couple Snow White Platinums (Edgewater & another one). I had both of these titles already, so I passed. The only title I picked up was Motorcycle Diaries for $6.99.
I don't know if they've already been cleaned out around Orlando, or we just have shitty stock all the time, but I probably won't spend several hours driving around town and not finding much anytime soon.

hey Shagrath... they just opened a store on Colonial and Kirkman called MovieStop - its the same thing as game stop but with a lot of damn movies and its probably 5 times as large as your normal store...
they seem to have a lot, except this deal goin on... but for movies that are hard to find its the place to go...

Not any longer apparently. Stopped at my usual store, my friends working there told me they just got the call from corporate telling them to take the signs down and end the sale tonight.
