Lot of NBA DVDs coming 5/17/05
WB is releasing a bunch of NBA DVDs on May 17, just in the middle of the upcoming playoffs. For the Legends of the game, the are coming under the Hardwood Classics banner. The rest are detailed on their respectives links. Here is the list:
Hardwood Classics
Michael Jordan - His Airness
Patrick Ewing - Standing Tall
Magic Johnson - Always Showtime
Charles Barkley - Sir Charles
Hakeem Olajuwon - Hakeem the Dream
And the rest:
NBA Dynasty Series - Philadelphia 76ers - The Complete History
Nba 25 Years of Champions
NBA Furious Finishes
I believe that the Harwood Classics are DVD releases of old VHS catalog titles, but the NBA 25 Years of Champions seems interesting enough. If somebody has more info on the releases, feel free to post and add.

Pretty gutsy of the NBA to be putting these out, as they will highlight how inferior their current product is.

I don't necessarily need 'fresh' programs -- I don't mind DVD editions of the old VHS tapes -- which were pretty well-done.
But I would like to see them include some 'extras' on these -- like some of the best games by the individuals in question, etc. Full, classic games would get me to buy the whole lot of them. As it is, I might buy just 1 or 2.

I'll be checking out the 76ers release. Should be some great Dr. J and Wilt footage, as well as some good footage from all their classic games against the Celtics.

Regarding the Michael Jordan "His Airness" disc. This is already included in the Ultimate Jordan multiple disc set. So if you have Ultimate Jordan set you already have His Airness in that collection.
