The Shield "Insurgents" 4/19/05

Shield episode preview from fxnetworks.com:

"Vic and Monica strike a deal with the DEA to shut down Antwon Mitchell's tar heroin operation. When the bust comes up empty, Vic's suspicions of Shane grow-until Shane proves himself by coming up with a key piece of evidence that reveals a large stash of tar, which is being stored at a local church. Dutch and Claudette's friendship continues to feel strain as they try to tie a young woman's murder to a suspected serial killer. Julien takes a stand against Monica's policy, then goes to David for support"

No love for my Shield thread?

I haven't actually watched the episode yet, I'll save it on the Tivo until tomorrow.

Probably because someone spelled it "The Shiled"

I was like, is that a new Fox show about getting scammed?

Another great episode. This season is really starting to heat up now.

I wonder if Ass-invader and Julien will "hook up" if you know what I mean?

Excellent ending, and a brilliant idea to install the video/audio cam into Shane's car. For a huge guy Lem's usually pretty calm, but clearly Shane does not want to get on his bad side (or Vic's)...

Dutch needs to bang Vic's ex-wife just to have an upper hand in his battles with Vic.

The end of this season is going to be very exciting. Shane & Army are going to be gunning for Antwon to get out from under, Vic & crew will be gunning for Shane to keep past evils from surfacing, Antwon is going to be gunning for everybody. I wonder if Monica will be back next season.

That would be so sweet.

There are really building things up to exciting conclusion.

My hatred for Julian reignites itself. He is such a little bitch. Now he is teamed up with the other cast member that is too big of a wuss to step up and own what is theirs.

Yeah, but Dutch will have the last laugh (until Vic kicks his ass) when Vic's ex wants to get intimate with that exposed dick.

I hope not, some of the best moments of humor over the course of the entire series have been Vic abusing Dutch. It never gets old to me.

Does anyone know for sure how many episodes they are going to be doing this season? I was SO sure they were going to stick with the new 15 episodes per season format, like last year, but when I checked on TVtome.com they only list 13 episodes for the season. If it's only 13 episodes I'm really disappointed - I want MORE Shield, not less

Due to a major storm and poor reception, the TiVo cut off the last minute or so. Can anybody explain what happened after Lem asked to be included back in with the team?

I'm pretty sure the extra episodes last year were due to the show returning later than normal.....I'm positive it's 13 this year.

Lem was talking about wanting back in and questioning why Vic was still covering for Cletus. Vic told him they bugged another car to their garage sting, Ronnie grabs another tape and puts it in the VCR, Army and Shane are in Shane's bugged Yukon, discussing their Antwon dealings. Vic tells Lem they no longer have tp protect Shane, they have to stop him.

Great ending! Loved the looks on Ronnie's face.

You'd think Rawling could afford to install a hidden camera with dvd instead of vhs with all the houses she's repossessing.

If Monica is not careful those repossesions will bit her on the arse one day. As for the Aceveda and Julien arrangement I think it won't last for very long and the writing staff will just use that plot just to move things along. As for the Vic and Shane storyline great tension betwen those two and time will only tell how things will playout. The person I have my eye on is Antwon Mitchell he is a wildcard and a cool one at that many props to Antony Anderson for his protrayal of this character.
