That sucks....why do you think that? What is your profession?
I am (was?) a field product trainer for a major tech company (contracted through a third party marketing firm). Since I don't work in an office, I found out on a conference call. The VP of the firm told us, "The company is going to continue to do fantasically under our new employment strategy. You're all fired." Okay, maybe that's not an exact quote, but close enough. To make matters worse, I have to continue to travel until the bitter end, attempting to get one of a very few positions with our parent company/client along the way.
And the main problem with working from home is that I have no office to angrily open fire in. :(
Screw it! The beer is cold, and the EI is free (for now)! But who was the rotten bastard who scheduled all the night games?

 The Rockies have an 8 run 7th inning (at Pac Bell, mind you, the biggest road inning they've ever posted) to erase a 7-0 Giants lead, then they serve up a walk-off 3 run HR to Edgardo Alfonzo. Ouch.

Hopes to go 162-0 relies on Javier Valentin.
Reds 2, Astros 3
Like I always say, you can't win all but one of 'em if you don't win three of the first four.

PS - A 3-1 start for Cincy is outstanding IMO considering that they faced Pedro, Glavine, and Clemens in three of those four games.

Amazing comeback by the Dodgers. They were down to their last strike 2 times -eek-.
Actually 3x.
Bad loss for the Dbacks. How you can give up 4 runs in the 9th is beyond me. I don't think Lyon was tired from pitching the other two nights, as some would suggest. I just think he had no movement or placement with his pitches. That coupled w/ the fact he didn't throw hardly any sliders. I mean, when you throw nearly 95% fastballs, guys are going to catch up to it eventually.
Hopefully the Dbacks will do what they did to the Cubs in that they lose the first and win the next two.

The Jays made it interesting in the ninth against Foulke but couldn't pull out the win against them.
