Metal-heads, I need help... 80s San Fran store called The Record Vault... any info?

I am looking for any articles about or mail order catalogs from an old, now closed San Francisco record store called The Record Vault.

I never got to visit it, but I did order several records from them back in the 80's, primarily Japanese Maiden imports. Anyway, I was getting nostalgiac and decided to see what I could find on the web. I pretty much only found out that it's closed, that their heyday was in the early 80s (go figure) and that many bands made appearances there (Metallica, Anthrax, etc.), but nothing about the history of the store itself.

So, do any of you know any good links, or even of any metal magazine articles or anything, focusing on this store? Furthermore, I would kill for one of their old catalogs. Does anybody else even remember/know of the place?

Any help would be most appreciated, thanks!
