In today's paper: 2 for $10, more titles in store. Friday/Saturday only.
pictured:
Double Jeopardy
Kiss the Girls
The Talented Mr. Ripley
The Italian Job(2003)
Terms of Endearment
The Hours
Indecent Proposal
As per dx23 also includes:
Golden Child
Best Defense
As per Bobafett2000 also includes:
Super Star
Trading Places
Shaft-New Version
CrossRoads-Britney Spears
Enemy at the Gates
BTW, the Italian Job remake isn't the greatest movie in the world(sort of like a remake of the Oceans 11 remake but with b-list stars) but for $5 it is a great buy if you like action movies. Good production values and some well done chase scenes.

I have the Sears ad sitting on my desk. No mention of 2/$10. Was it in the regular section of the paper or in the glossy ad?

Huge YMMV. The guy at the Cupertino CA Sears didn't know what movies were included in the 2/$10 sale so he said to me, "anything that's regularly marked as $9.99 we'll price adjust to 2/$10". Unfortunately, most of the $9.99 titles in stock were not of interest to me. Only ended up picking up single disk Castaway and Italian Job.

The Sears I went to in Sacto Ca had all the movies listed above on sale and these movies also:
The Golden Child
Super Star
Trading Places
Shaft-New Version
CrossRoads-Britney Spears
Enemy at the Gates
Does anybody know if The Golden Child is 16x9 Enhanced, it says it is widescreen on the back, but it does not say if it is anamorphic or not. Thanks.

I object. B-list stars? Theron won an Oscar year before last, and Edward Norton is perhaps the greatest actor working today. This year, Mos Def was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe. There's a lot of talent in this film. Now, none of this is to say that I like the movie all that much, but while they may not be megastars like Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts...a lot of the names involved are anything but "B-list."

I went to the Sears I used to work at and only got Shaft(2000) and The Italian Job. My former manager said it was only Paramount titles and all the ones under $7.99 were part of the 2 for the $10. The only $9.99 titles that counted towards the sale were the ones shown in the ad.

I considered both of these to be one of the best action movies of the year the year they were released. They are both actually in my top 20 favorite movies of all time. This is the first thread ive seen where someone didnt like these movies. I guess it take all kinds.

If you liked those movies, you should definitely see Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and maybe Snatch(essentially a big budget remake of Lock Stock) if you haven't seen them. Jason Statham, who was in the Italian Job, is in both of them and Brad Pitt is in Snatch, doing his best Irish boxer imitation. You may need the subtitles on to understand the cockney accents though! Vinnie Jones a former British soccer thug is in both, and is the highlight of both films(but particularly Lock Stock).
I think $5 for the Italian Job is well worth it, much better than what usually populates the bargain bins, which is why I highlighted it. But it wouldn't make my top 20. It is entertaining, but Marky mark is a stiff and the plot stretches credibility at various points. The mini coopers are a riot though, the chase is worth the $5 alone.

I have seen both of those too. You are right about needing the subtitles for Brad P's accent in it.
