Quentin's "Kill Bill" saga will be 4 hours and rated NC-17!!

I don't think this has been posted, but I just read in EW that one of the first movies to be produced by "The Weinstein Company" (Harvey and Bob's new 'Miramax') will be Quentin Tarantino's Complete "Kill Bill" Saga or "The Big Fat Kill" as I like to call it (wink wink, nod to SC!)

Anyway, I knew the opus would be eventually recut, but this cements it and I can't freggin' wait. After watching KBv2 again this weekend and realizing it as the true masterpiece it is and ranking it equal to the first after this viewing, this Fall (hopefully) will see me watching the first 4 hour movie in a theater of my career.

Post away KB lovers...

I am looking forward to it as well, although i have never spent 4 hours straight watching a movie in a theater.I prefer the first vol. by the way FWIW.

I would only be interested in seeing this if a good amount of new footage is added. To me, putting the 2 movies together isnt that big a deal to me.

Agreed. The run time of them both together as they are now is already just over 4hrs. Playing them back-to-back, without doing anything significant would not get me into a theater to see it.

Thats what I thought, and I doubt Disney would have given anyone that kind of clout with a film.

I'm sorry... My fault.

I meant that Disney only released (distributed) the KILL BILL films, they do not own the negatives.

I'll believe it when I see it. Actually anything dealing with QT is something that I have to see to believe.

Isn't this basically the same thing they've been saying for over a year now? Both movies put together, uncensored, NC-17, really awesome, etc.

They are separate movies techincally being different versions. Disney owns Vol 1 & 2...while Tarantino owns the uncut complete print

Screw a theatrical re-release. Just put the full cut on DVD already. I'm sick of waiting to buy it, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna double-dip by getting the current bare bones editions.

There isn't. This new cut of the film has already screened in a couple of places, mainly in Japan. The House of B.L. is now in color, the Khan quote at the start has been removed, the Vernita Green fight is slightly less violent, the black and white Uma driving scene at the start of Volume 2 is removed and so is Bill's line "Does she know her daughter is alive?" at the end of 1. IMO QT should also think about removing the Esteban scene in Mexico and shortening either Bill's "goldfish" monolgue or his Superman diatribe.

Same. Having the Blue Leaves sequence in color will be a nice improvement, but I'd also like to see more footage and/or some tighter editing on some of the slower scenes from the second half of the story.
