I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent book that outlines the history of the conflict. I'm not looking for exhaustive detail - I just feel pretty ignorant on the whole subject beyond the basic roots and current situation. I'd like to fill the spaces in between.

To get the best perspective of the conflict, I recommend buying both an Israeli-written book and a Palestinian-written book. It's interesting to see both sides and why each of them are so strongly engulfed in their beliefs.

Thanks. I'll check my library to see if they have it. They have a pretty good selection of PBS videos, so hopefully it's there.
