Noticed that DVD empire is doing a 2 for $15 (free shipping for 3 titles or more) of the MGM world cinema titles

Some pretty good stuff on there. I picked up Mississippi Mermaid and a few others.

:crap:
Completely unnecessary of your part. I see a lot of good movies over there like Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Birdcage, My Beautiful Laundrette, Fellinis Satyricon, and Some Like It Hot. And by the way I'm not gay, but at the same time not homophobic like you Tay and can easily appreciate films that deal with homosexuality.

Obviously someone mistakenly hit their bookmark for adultdvdempire.com, rather than the OP's link...
Thanks, Lastdaysofrain: I picked up Viva Maria!; The Bride Wore Black; Spetters and Never on Sunday.

Thanks, I wouldn't have known about those films.
I'm always looking for some sexy lezbean movies to try and lez-up the wife for a good threesome.

So far, her favorite from that genre was "Priest" -- not quite what I had in mind... (and not on the list at dvdempire either).

Not to defend Tay, but after you click on the link
the top of the page http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v5_ca...3&display_pic=1 it does say
"MGM Gay/Lesbian Films 2/$15!"

Cool, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Pieces of April, I Shot Andy Warhol, Saved, Koyaanisqatsi, and Le Femme Nikita for $45.

why is saying no thanks to gay/lesbian films a threadcrap...not to open a can of worms, just seems kind of harsh...he didn't say anything derogatory against gay or lesbian people...though the exclamation point and caps could be seen as hostile...
good deal nonetheless

I really enjoyed this movie!
It's too bad it's not on the list....

lastdaysofrain, thanks for the heads up! (I don't visit Empire regularly anymore.) I'm still trying to figure out an order. Unfortunately, even though it's the same studio and price, you cannot mix one from the gay list and one from the world list.

I actually found it to be a good heads up.

I took:
Sunday Bloody Sunday
My Beautiful Laundrette
Fellini: Satyricon
The Wedding Banquet
Fellini: Roma
Babette's Feast
Cyrano de Bergerac
Eat Man Drink Woman
Had to place two separate orders to get the savings. Thanks

I ordered WAY too many of these. I figured if nothing else, I can take them to Blockbuster for store credit if I don't like them. But I did accidentally order The Man Who Loved Women, which I already own. D'oh!

He crapped on the thread. He didn't point out good films or state that it wasn't a good deal, he just crapped. (In actuallity, I don't think he really looked at the list.) Do you really think that he didn't mean it in a hostile way? Would you post: "This sale has Some Like It Hot! NO THANKS" if you weren't hostle to the movie?
To get back on topic, there are some great films here. Several Truffaunt films that I'll have to snag. Thanks OP!

Looks like the sale may be good for some select MGM horror titles as well

I agree with Tay, but that's only the second list. The first list contains some great films. And yes, the Truffaut ones I saw on there (Small Change + Wild Child) are very underrated works.

Apparently you can't use one of Empire's regular coupon codes in conjunction with this offer (I tried).
However, that did not stop me from ordering: Cyrano de Bergerac
Eat Drink Man Woman
Never On Sunday
and Viva Maria!
and I received them today, 2 days after the order! DVD Empire's shipping is always very fast - I wish I could find better deals (like this one) there these days.
