Farewell to Manzanar - Why is it not available?

I'm brand new to this group after reading in the L.A. Times that studios sometimes read your postings. For at least three years I've been trying to find Farewell to Manzanar. I have e-mailed Universal Studio and received no reply.

I know it exists, at least on VHS, because copies of it in "teacher packages" have sold on EBay for over $100.00. And in California, Lt. Governer Cruz Bustamante gave copies of the VHS to all the libraries.

It seems to me that if someone would pay over $100 on EBay for a VHS, the studio would be rushing to release this movie on DVD. Any suggestions?
