The Wrath of Daimajin not OAR
Wanted to give a heads up to anyone that may be interested in ADV's rerelease of their Daimajon films. The second film, The Wrath of Daimajin isn't presented with it's OAR. I just viewed it today and compared it to my original copy, and there is definitly some information missing. You can see a comparrison in the video section of my review here:

It's too bad that ADV went to the trouble to get a remastered print and then didn't give us OAR.

I knew ADV were going to mess this up. I was really excited to see these coming in 16 x 9. Then I remembered the company putting these out. They re-released Destroy All Monsters non 16 x 9. They list the first Gamera film as being 16 x 9 when it is not. There are numerous sound issues and other flubs on their Anime, as I hear it.
I have emailed them, but am not holding my breath for a reply. Hopefully, by some miracle they fix this one.

I have the 3 pack but also sprang for the R2 sets which are all anamorphically enhanced. They were about $37 apiece but well worth it. if you are interested they are still available here: www.cdjapan.co.jp

I just emailed there sales department informing them of this problem. Maybe more emails will open their eyes to this problem. They did such a great job on Daimajin 1.
Thanks,
