Best Buy has Sopranos S5 for $65 plus a $15 digital coupon.
The best price is amazon buy a few cents and you get free shipping.
I have not decided where to get it just thought I would give a heads up to everyone else looking.

Actually they are the exactly the same price..BEFORE shipping cost/tax at Best Buy and the $15 coupon. Best Buy is the better deal by atleast $10.

Thanks!

Thanks for the heads-up, I had forgotten when S5 of the Sopranos was being released

Excellent deal...thanks for the info.

This is an example of one of those deals I would have ignored if Amazon still gave the STL ($6.50 in this case) discount. I'm sure that many others would be jumping on Amazon's price if they still had that incentive.

Ah, thanks a heap. Been looking for the best deal on this, and BB seems to have it with this deal. I'll be ordering for sure.

Much appreciated.

Buy.com has it for $58.XX after 10% coupon that was floating around. I had ordered it and than when I saw this deal I cancelled it. So if you don't want to use best buy and fool with digital coupons this seemed like a good price

Decent deal, I too would go with Amzn if they had stl still.

Minor gripe: I wish BB would call their offer what it is. It isn't a "coupon" it's a gc. A coupon is a discount off of what you're buying *now*; a gc is $$ you can apply to a future purchase.

I think I will just wait and get this used like i did the other sopranos sets.

Like others here, Amazon would have got my sale with STL, but it went to BB.

I am not paying $80 for 13 episodes of a tv show.

Well, that more than wipes out the coupon. "Lets jack up the price $19 and give them a $15 coupon they have to spend here... they'll never suspect." rotfl What a bunch of scumbags!

Best Buy did this with Deadwood, it started at $64.99, then jumped to $83.99, and was $79.99 during the first week.

If you order it now, you will only be charged the price that it will be on the release date. While it might not be 64.99, I can almost guarantee you that it will be less than 83.99.

costco has always had every season of Sopranos for 64.99 i think i'll stick with costco on this one

The Buy.com deal is still running if you want to lock in a sub $60 price. Just google buy.com coupons and there is an active 10%, 8% or 6% coupon floating around. They sell it for $64 minus coupon. (Also may be 2% affiliate rebates ie ******, fatwallet, upromise etc but sometime buy.com wont pay when you use a coupon) Overstock may also be an option as they sell it for $65 and have regular 10% coupons. Just kicking myself for not ordering when bb had it for $50 after digital coupon.

Edited to add. Buy.com is charging shipping ($2.90) When I first orderd this there was no shipping for my order and than I cancelled when the bb offer came up. $^#^*@*

EXACTLY!!!

I tried to do the preorder at work but the firewall wouldn't let me.
Came home, went to finish my order, item still in cart, but price now NINETEEN DOLLARS HIGHER! What a !)(@*# joke. How stupid do they think people are?

It's still nearly 2 months until it comes out, and they already raised the price THAT much? I, likewise, will not pay $84+tax for 13 episodes of a TV show. So, either they readjust the price w/the original deal or I'll just stop at Sam's Club.

I just wonder WHO over there comes up with these things...

Edit: Going with buy.com, $59 (w/8% off coupon)+$2.90 shipping, good enough, and BB REALLY irritated me with this NINETEEN-DOLLAR overnight price increase for one DVD box set...

Well, the LOST deal ($39.99 plus $10 Dig Coupon) was there, vanished for a few days, and now is available again. Jump on it while it is there!

Here is the Lost deal. (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?type=category&id=pcmcat58500050002)

It "vanished" for a few days--that's a good one.

And even though it doesn't come out for over 4 months, I may as well preorder now since it might be $99.99 tomorrow...

There is no excuse that this set is so damn expensive.
Thirteen episodes for $80 is ridiculous.

The price should be no more that $39.99 to $49.99 like other full season sets.
I understand that if I don't want to pay the price asked that I should just shut up and not buy it then. However, I do love the show and have the past four seasons, but I never paid more than $55 for them.

It's funny how HBO takes advantage of it's customers by charging inflated prices on certain series like this and the OZ series.

Oh, the humanity!

You must not be following the releases of the other shows (Carnivale, Deadwood, The Wire, etc...), because they ALL are in the upper echelon of pricing. Even the 2-Disc half hour shows (Curb, Entourage) cost more than most. This is really not a surprise.

Nice deal! I had gotten in with the Amazon $39.99 pricing, but went ahead and cancelled and went with this. After tax and shipping and adding in the money back for the digital coupon, it'll only be about $35.00. Not bad at all.

True but some folks would rather pay more and not cut up their box sets. Also Coconuts/FYE rebates can be iffy at times.

You should be careful because getting a card and cancelling/not using it at all can hurt your credit.

Since Circuit City has S5 for $60 and the others for $65...can Best Buy pricematch and still give the $20 for buying to sets? That would mean you could get Season 5 + another season for a little over $100.

How or why would that effect your credit? I've done this countless times, and the last time I bought a car, the financer said my credit score was the best he had ever seen.

Bestbuy.com does not price match? These people suck. I tried to get them to apply the $5 magic lamp from a month ago to my purchace here, and they wouldnt't so I tried to get them to at least give me free shipping. Nothing, even talked to a supervisor. Called today to get them to PM CC at $59, and they said they do not price match online prices to their online price.

First experience with BB.com, and it will be the last, they suck.

Because the credit score considers lots of factors including legth of time a card is held. I do not the specifics of how or why, but I do know it can be detrimental to your credit.

Oh, I also agree with the post above me that Best Buy in general sucks. I loved them when they first came to Tennessee, but I have grown to despise them in many ways. I still consider myself a customer, but I don't stop buy that much.

I don't think it's really a big issue, unless you have a history of frequently requesting cards, and then cancelling them very quickly. After awhile though, it will indeed affect your credit. But really, anything can affect your credit. They don't like if you use them too much, too little, have too many cards, or have too few cards. It's nothing that's going to just bottom out your credit, I just wouldn't make it a frequent habit in general, because I'm sure it's seen as a risk to companies, when people change their mind or switch things often.
