DVD Talk review of 'Astro Boy: The Complete Series (2003)'
I read Chris Tribbey's DVD review of Astro Boy: The Complete Series (2003) at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=15067 and...
the review for Astro Boy 2003 seems like the Region 1 people get the short stick for quality. The Region 3 people for the Astro Boy 2003 get a wide screen 1:85:1 anamorphic video, japanese 5.1 Dolby Digital, Korean 2.0 Dolby Stereo, and English, Japanese, and Korean sub-titles.
Although only Season 1&2 have been released in Region 3, the video quality is out of this world. The screen shots for the Region 1 review look like they have come off a vhs tape.
if you wish to buy the Region 3 box sets, which are NTSC, please try http://www.yesasia.com
You won't be disappointed.

Though the point's taken: fullscreen instead of widescreen, 2.0 instead of 5.1, Japanese language included ... the quality and the thought behind this set is weak ... it was made with kids in mind, not anime fans.
