Welcome to the forum! To answer your question, Season 2 has not yet been released. The reason for the out of order releases was to push the newest spinoff of Law & Order featuring the late Jerry Orbach. Hence the L&O S14 release as opposed to S3. It appears that the future releases of L&O and all it's incarnations will come in their proper orders.

Thank you for the information. Do you know if Season 2 will ever be released?? I am asking since season 3 was already released.

Thanks..

L&O Season 3 was announced to be coming out this summer a couple of weeks ago so it looks like they're going back to chronological order, I would expect that the same will happen with CI and SVU sometime this summer as well.

I want this so much I could burst. At any rate, this is the last update from tvshowsondvd (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=3139):

Also, though, we've had a lot of reaction from fans of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Criminal Intent, expressing negative feelings over this announcement when they didn't hear anything about the missing seasons of their respective shows. Rest assured, these are on-the-way. We haven't had detailed info worth posting separately, but we can mention here briefly that Universal is pencilling plans in for bringing out both the 2nd and 3rd seasons of SVU before the year is out (approximately 5-6 months apart), and the 4th season is going to happen in 2006 (which will catch us up to the 5th season set that's already on the market).

As for CI, we've got S1 and S3 already, and fans will be happy to know that they'll have the 2nd Season later on this year. Stay tuned, and we'll have details about all these releases once the studio makes their announcements. Bear in mind, though, that these plans aren't set in stone (which is why they are unannounced!), and can still change before all is said and done.

That was posted on 3/18. So le sigh, the wait continues.

I've finally been burned by the lack of a ? in the thread title. :( It had to happen eventually, I guess.

It'd be nice if we could actually get the 16x9 versions of L&O.

Amen to that.

I am glad to get season 2 of CI in any way shape or form though. They really made us sweat this one out. I just hope the others are faster coming.
