(DEAD) Price Mistake? - Tomorrow People on Overstock.com

Hey, everyone.

I was just checking the other price search website and noticed an interesting price.

I check on Overstock.com and confirmed that The Tomorrow People Set #1 is listed for $6.46!

MSRP for this set is $79.95 and it isn't due for release until 5/31, but is already listed as Sell out risk "Very High".

I placed an order...I figured...why not?

(Update: Item is now coming up as Out of Stock when you attempt to put it in your cart.)

Placed a pre-order just for the heck of it. Maybe they'll be nice and give me a coupon for cancelling my order.

It is the one from the 70s. Cheesy BBC show about kids with telepathic powers. I really enjoyed watching them on Nickelodeon back in the 80s. Of course, I was a kid back then...

Gave it a shot.
Didn't charge me for shipping, either, for some reason.
It said 'In order to give you this great price, we charge your card immediately.' What happens to that charge if the order gets cncled?

Thanks OP.

and I hope we don't have any dealkillers....

They would just do a charge back to your CC. You will be without 6.46 from now until they do it.

Hard to pass up something that is 91% off. I'am in for 100, oops I meant 1.

Same here ... I'll be amazed if these actually show up at these prices, but it's definitely worth a shot.

thanks!

I'm in for one as well but I also think that the chances are very very very slim that these will be honored.

Wow! I've been trying to remember the name of this series forever.

I know it's been said before, but I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm it as the 70s series or if there's a slight chance that it might be the one from the 90s. I remember being hooked on the Nickelodeon series as a kid and hope that it might be the one I'm thinking of.

It would appear to be the 70's version.

What does the Very High chance of selling out mean? Would they take orders if they couldn't fill them?

I'm sure they would...especially since it's a perfect way for them to increase their cash.

They don't have the no charge until ship policy? I thought that this was the law or something regarding presales.
