Any good places to watch Rocky Horror still around?
Saw the episode of Drew Carey the other week where they have a Rocky Horror crowd battling a Priscilla Queen of the Desert crowd. It was awesome, so I went out and traded for the Rocky Horror disc and I loved it, too. Now I want to experience it first hand. Are there any theaters around that still show it? Are there any audiences that still get into it?

Go there. It's a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" theater listing.

Ooh thanks for the listing I see one that is relatively close to me. Matthew or sean are your showings particularly noteworthy? I'd like to see it in a great group the first time.

Thanks jack. I'll probably do that. I don't want my "live" RHPS cherry to be popped on some sad theater with a small crowd that isnt too into it. I checked out the official site, and may actually try to get into the show they're doing at the convention in vegas.

I've always liked The Nuart Theater in West LA. It's still got that "Old Movie Theater" style and the crowds were great.

Proud to say the local community college in Cheyenne, WY took a bold step this weekend and produced the play. They sold out eight shows, including four midnight performances. A great slap in the face to this conservative land.
Rocky Horror still plays at the Riverview in Minneapolis, if I'm not mistaken.

Not much help but as a side story:
Last time I saw RHPS "live" was at a friend's house. They were moving from here to Atlanta so thought it would be a cool thing to have a full-blown showing. Since the house was getting a major cleaning anyway, we could trash to our heart's desire. Man, that was a blast!

Didnt they used to do it at the ABC theatre in Fremont years ago before it became the indian theatre? I remember going there and seeing double features for almost nothing. That place was cool back in the 80's.

Yeah, it used to be on Friday nights at Midnight. I never went but I remember it up on the Marquee. I just remember going to ABC to see Howard the Duck and Three Amigo's double feature. That was the best!

They used to do it @ the TLA on South Street in Philly every Friday night but I have no idea whether they still do or not.

I seem to remember this playing much more frequently just 5-6 years ago in Pittsburgh. Out of curiousity, I Googled it and couldn't find any local theaters still showing it regularly. Has the DVD market killed the novelty of seeing it on the big screen?

After doing some looking around I think I am goingto go with the Rialto. THe cast who performs is supposed to be top notch. Highly Acclaimed by the Fan Club President and the group that was immediately chosen to do the "Time Warp" at the Rocky Horror Convention in Vegas. Though I read good things about the cast that used to perform at the Fremont viewings, too.

Billy Joe's Pitcher Show in Des Moines still does it, but it's a shadow of its former self. Mostly people just go to find out where the after party is.
