Is Sean Connery in good health?

No movies projects lined up since the League of Extraordinary Gentleman in 2003.

Is he in good health or has he had enough of tinseltown?

I remember watching one of the bonus features on the League DVD and he sounded kind of tired and cranky and did not know what the hell was going on in that movie and he was befuddled by the special effects.

I know most of you will say because that movie sucked but I liked it

Connery hated making LEAGUE. Just hated it.

He was close to making JOSIAH'S CANON (an awful sounding movie) with Brett Ratner, but that fell apart.

Now, he's writing his memoirs.

i'm sure he's content to take long breaks and only do movies that he's really interested in doing. also, i read he's voicing Bond in the video game remake of From Russia With Love by EA:

Supposively LOEG was such a bad experience for him, that it really turned him off to making movies for a while.

But not to worry about his health, we all know the only way Sean Connery can die is to cut off his head.

I hear he plans to go the Ken Jenning's route and make his living playing Jeopardy.

watching it was such a bad experience for me that it turned me off to watching movies for a while. Zing!

Back OT, I think it's safe to assume he's at the age where he doesn't feel the need to make as many movies as he did in years past or maybe he feels the need to retire. Paul Newman for example announced that he'll make one more picture then retire for good (though I think he's said that before).

I am also curious as to his bad experience. But then, I'm also in the minority as I enjoyed the movie.

Simply: Connery hated Norrington. Norrington hated Connery. Connery asserted his power over Norrington during production. Norrington felt betrayed and humiliated. Both Norrington and Connery swore off movies forever (or until the next boat payment is due).

Word is that Connery is just a grumpy old bastard...it's more likely that studios are tired of working with HIM than vice versa:

connery and the lotr

looks like he just didnt want to do it.

it suggests connery might've been gandalf or someone else. but if not gandalf, saruman?

it concludes with the thought that connery might not be right for gandalf.

i'd agree with that i think. i can't picture it. he'd be too ... scottish?

Connery also harassed the Sultans "by playing loud music at all hours and stomping about," court papers say.
