Question for Creative Zen MP3 Player owners

Is there a way to turn off the anti idle? Its been bugging me for a bit now. I got is second hand from my brother, so there's no booklet, and google didnt help me.

What player do you own, specifically? I have the Nomad Zen Xtra 40GB, and although I still haven't explored all the features thoroughly, I don't recall anything about "anti idle".

Did you check Creative's website to see if they have a downloadable manual?

Also, you might find more info in this site's Tech Talk, rather than Music.

Err, not anti idle. But idle. If I let it play too long without touching it it shuts off. Annoying when I can't get to it.

I have the Nomad Zen Xtra-Go to settings-edit profile-Go down to power-below it is idle timer-settings from off to 120 minutes.hope this helps.

Thanks much found an idle timer and sleep timer. Can you tell me the difference?

I guess that the idle timer is if you don't add any music or make changes to your music it will shut down.Sleep timer is that it will play until say 150 min. then shut down.

Yeah, I'd say Idle will turn it off it it's not playing and your not pressing any buttons for a given amount of time, and sleep timer will shut off period after a set amount of time.
