Anyone preorder from Best Buy before?
Hey!
Here's the deal, I'm looking to preorder the Doom 3 Limited Edition for the XBox this week. I've looked for the best special deals. GameStop throws in a poster and a little figurine, both of which I really don't need. I noticed that if I order from Best Buy I'll get 3000 Reward Zone points (not a huge deal, but it's something).
My question is if anyone has had experience pre ordering video games from Best Buy. The last thing I want to do is preorder from them and have to wait even longer to get the game than if I went through GameStop, etc.
Anyone have any insight?
Thanks!

Hmm, I knew this question was asked before, but I didn't realize we never got an answer...

I do know that because Best buy is one of the largest videogame stores, they get a ton of games in stock, but you might get it a day or two later. If it's a big enough game that they're offering a preorder for it, they should have plenty.
My first experience preordering with bestbuy (really bestbuy.com) will be when my PSP comes in, and I'm hoping it's a pleasant experience...
edit:
actually, that's not true. I did preorder Wind Waker from them to get the bonus disk, and the only problem I had was trying to pricematch it, since it was a little more complex with the five dollars down thing. I seem to remember also that I had to go to the customer service line, which is always a bad thing, and they got it off the floor (though they had plenty of copies). That was back when they first started the preorder thing, so I hope that they at least reserve copies the right way now...
