Its very small but you got some good ones in there. I'd start buying some classics. You already have the schlock part of your collection down (which is not a bad thing).

Yeah, I have some 8-track copies of the entire Led Zeppelin catalog that suit me fine that I don't need the CD, SACD, or DVD-A versions of.

I just don't buy this line of reasoning.

VHS is a dead format for all practical purposes. The purpose of new and upcoming A/V formats is that they are superior in quality and durability. To hold on to an older format, just because you already have those movies, is just silly, especially when it comes to classic titles like Star Wars or say Gone With the Wind.

All I can say is...you need more. But even though you have few, you have a little Bava and Harryhausen....so you are on the right track.

You need Simpsons Season 5 to round out the collection.

Yeah i really want that! Not to mention my most anticipated is the long overdue Forbidden Planet SE. I'm waiting for This Island Earth to go back in print (and the mst3k version!) As well as the James Bond Editions that are supposed to come out this year (any word?)

Mike Lowrey, i have Star Wars, Indiana Jones, James Bond VHS box sets that we bought a few years back, my family isn't particular about DVD/VHS, i don't really watch them feverishly to make me want to buy them as i have them on VHS. Anyway, extras and flashy menus never make me buy a DVD if i first want to buy the actual movie that i'd like to watch over and over. My current collection has everything that i can rewatch monthly.

Duff, I think your collection needs to give Barry Bonds a call.

Most of us rebuy because of the improved Audio/video quality. not flashy menus.

MST3k is my love, you either get it or you don't. In other words it is genius. Adventures of Robin Hood is the greatest adventure of all time.
