Oasis to appear on "The O.C." March 31st!!!!!
I heard it on the news today.Supposedly it will feature the 2 couples(Seth-Summer and Ryan-Marissa) going to an Oasis concert in L.A. Look for Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher(I believe the other 3 as well) to be featured, much like how Rooney was in Season 1. This is where Oasis are set to play the first single off their new record entitled, "Lyla" from their forthcoming album, "Don't Believe the Truth". I'm pretty psyched about this. I can't wait!!!

"Lyla/I can see it in your eyes/the way you smile/ the way you make me sympathzie" Lyla/ you were always what I am/ I was there for you/you were there for me/that's why we made it through to the end".
I Love Oasis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How the hell does "The OC" do it? They get new Beck songs, the get the exclusive trailer to Episode III and now get get one of the best bands in the world. Whoever is behind marketing....deserves a big raise.

just one exclamation point does the trick buddy
A band that was famous for about ten minutes, ten years ago, is gonna be on TV. Woo-hoo.
I heard a rumor that the Gin Blossoms are gonna play the prom on Smallville.

It's called product placement and any ad company is glad to include their product in a show like this. It's nothing new. Look back at older teen melodramas and you'll see the same thing. It's typically the latest pop shit anyways, so it's perfect for any music company to place their product with the right demographics. Especially when you get screen time for the album at the end of the show.

I certainly am! I love Star Wars and Oasis bigtime. I know Noel Gallagher said in a interview that is favorite movie of all time was Star Wars, but I think he might be doing this just for the sake of the new album. I'm loking forward to this nontheless.

That said, not to burst anyone's bubble but I'm about 90% sure this rumor is false. I saw the related thread on the Oasisinet.com forum and there isn't a link there either.

This is lame. They need to spend less time on cross-promotions and more time on the actual show. I was glad when they finally got rid of those horrible musical interludes with various bands that started up earlier this season. This just seems like a return to that sort of crap.

And yet a few weeks ago they sold out Madison Square Garden in about an hour...
Drawing from a population base of more than 10 million people, there were 20,000 aging, prematurely nostalgic, Gen Xers that bought tickets to an Oasis concert.
Whaddaya think a Spice Girls reunion would do? Sell out a week of shows, probably.
But seriously, I think it's great that Seth and Summer want to go see a band that peaked in popularity when they were in Kindergarden.
And they say the kids today aren't interested in history.
