Costco 3/8/05 Ladder 49 $18.29 Ring SE $18 Friends s9 $29 Earthsea $12 Green Acres 19

Note: Costco's stock varies from store to store, so availability may vary from store to store. Most of the new titles and promotions should be available though.

**NOTE: Some members are reporting different pricing being reported by a few stores (I believe San Francisco, CA and one in New York state). Usually a $1 or so higher. Hopefully they'll go back to national pricing soon, so for now just be aware that it can happen.

Ongoing Deals Details (from the past 8 weeks if no exp. specified):
Instant rebates and coupons are usually taken AFTER taxes have been calculated.

Free Movie Ticket ($10.50 max value) when you buy marked MGM 2pks ($15ea). exp. 4/5
This is the same deal I posted recently, except the titles are just available in 2 packs, and the selection is a bit different. Details are a little sketchy on this one as I didn't actually buy it to get all the details: You need to buy a 2pk DVD set with the yellow sticker on them (may only need one sticker, but I assume you need the sticker for the offer), then you mail in whatever it requires and they send you a movie ticket worth up to $10.50. You need to buy the movies by 4/5/5, and mail the offer in by 4/19/05. Tickets themselves will be good up to 6/30/05. Thanks to Buford T Pusser for confirming the 4/5 expiration date. .Just buy one of the below 2 packs (#100868 $15ea) and fill out and mail in the yellow sticker on the DVDs outer packaging to get the free movie ticket. exp. 4/5/05
Moonstruck (pan & scan)/Annie Hall
The Apartment/ Best Years of Our Lives
In the Heat of the Night/Lilies of the Field
Dances with Wolves/Platoon
Silence of the Lambs/Misery
Dead Man Walking/Fargo
Tom Jones/Marty?? (can't read my writing)
??/Rain Man

$5 instant off on Raging Bull when you buy another $9 Scorsese film while supplies last
Get an instant $5 off Raging Bull SE ($18.49) at the register when you buy one of the following Martin Scorsese films ($9ea #108630) at the same time. Good while supplies last.
Boxcar Bertha
New York, New York
The Last Waltz

Movie ticket for Robots (worth up to $6.50) with $16 purchase (free watch too) exp??
The following 2packs ($16ea) come with a children's watch and a movie ticket good for up to $6.50 off admission to Robots which opens 3/11. Nothing on the outside of the box said how long the ticket is good for, but I'm guessing at least until 4/30
Catch that Kid/Motokids
Cheaper by the Dozen (2004)/Cheaper by the Dozen (Original)
Johnson Family Vacation/Bill Cosby Himself
Garfield the Movie/Garfield Himself
Anastasia/Thumbelina
Rookie of the Year/Sandlot

$7.50 movie ticket for Hitch w/$14 purchase exp 3/11/05
Buy one of the below Will Smith movies and get a ticket good for up to $7.50 off theater admission for Hitch coming out on 2/11/05. Exp. 3/11/05
Men in Black
Men in Black 2
Bad Boys
Bad Boys 2

$10.50 movie ticket mail in offer with 2 $8.79 MGM DVD purchases exp. 4/5
Details are a little sketchy on this one as I didn't actually buy it to get all the details: You need to buy 2 DVDs with the yellow sticker on them (may only need one sticker, but I assume you need the sticker for the offer), then you mail in whatever it requires and they send you a movie ticket worth up to $10.50. You need to buy the movies by 4/5/5, and mail the offer in by 4/19/05. Tickets themselves will be good up to 6/30/05. I'm setting the exp. at 4/5 for record keeping purposes. Also, I didn't see stickers on all the DVDs listed below. There are two item #s (861500 & 100863) and the titles are $8.79 each.
Moonstruck
Much Ado About Nothing
Mystic Pizza
Class
Thomas Crown Affair (Brosnan)
Benny and Joon
Four Weddings and a Funeral
Cutting Edge
Stanley and Iris

$5 off Alien vs. Predator when you buy the Predator/Predator 2 2 pack ($17) exp. while supplies last
If you buy Alien vs Predator (#222570 $18.29) and the Predator/Predator 2 2 pack (#222693 $17), you get an instant $5 off at the register. No expiration, so it's good while supplies last.

No coupon on Friends. I think they didn't do it for s8 either.

If someone lists the Fox Animated titles they've seen, I'll add it to the list.

Also didn't see the Warner Comedy Classics box set. And Lost in Space did not have season 1 for sale when I went back to check, so that might have been a mistake by me last week.

My Costco had "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers", "Jason and the Argonauts" and Seventh Voyage of Sunbad", but they rang up as non-sellable due to a release date of the 15th! So they wouldn't sell 'em to me (bastasds!). I checked around online and can't find a new release date on these, so I don't know what's going on. Guess I'll just go back next week and grab 'em.

Anyway, thanks again, Sheldon!

Costco in Sacramento had the same Fox stock. Simpsons 4 and 5, Futurama 2 and 3 seemed to be in short supply, however. I only found one Simpsons 5, and never saw a Futurama 2 and 3, was at lunch and in a hurry so didn't flip through everything.

FYI, they won't honor that coupon today, LOL. I apparently can't read... sucked having to leave Simpsons 3-5 and FG 1 & 2 at the register.

Thanks for the info. Sucks that I overpayed on so many Simpson and Futurama sets, but this is a nice deal for the patient.

Note to self : DO NOT buy Simpson Season 6 on release week

Does anyone still have this in their store?

I saw Fargo w/Dead Man Walking but only needed Fargo so I passed. I asked a co-worker who said he'd take DMW. So I went back the next day (last Thursday) and they were all gone. I asked a woman who was bringing out DVDs and she said they'd just pulled them and they were in the back.

She found one for me and said they were about to be shipped back. The deal was good until 4/5/05. Strange that.

I went by my area Costco tonight looking for the coupons, but we denied. "We'll give them out starting on the 14th", the lady said. So I had to settle for a $1.50 hot dog and a Coke.

I didn't see it mentioned so thought I'd add that here in Northern CA I picked up Finding Nemo and A Bug's Life for $12.99 each the other day at Costco. Best prices I"ve seen on those and a good thing as I wanted to pick them up as I gave my original copies away to my niece and didn't want to pay $19.99 all over again. Unfortunately I didn't see Monsters, Inc. as I need that as well.

At the Boca Raton Costco, in addition to the ones mentioned above I saw Mary Poppins and Monsters Inc. also for $12.99 .

There's a sticker on these:

Nausicca of the Valley of the Wind $18.29
Porco Rosso $18.29
Cat Returns $18.29

It says buy the three, get one of three other Miyazaki dvds for free.

Grr ... I may have to go stand outside the closest store and see if I can convince someone to sneak me in and buy me the last two Futuramas.

C'mon Southern CT folks ... I know one of you wants to volunteer to save me the humiliation of begging strangers.

C'mon Southern CT folks ... I know one of you wants to volunteer to save me the humiliation of begging strangers.
You don't need a Costco membership, just the coupon and a Best Buy or Circuit City. They should PM the Costco price for you, no problem. Just go to Costco and ask to see the coupons; say you're considering a membership. Then leave.

Unfortunately I didn't see Monsters, Inc. as I need that as well.
At the Boca Raton Costco, in addition to the ones mentioned above I saw Mary Poppins and Monsters Inc. also for $12.99 .
Thanks, added.

It says buy the three, get one of three other Miyazaki dvds for free.
This is referring to a mail in rebate in the DVD. This deal isn't unique to Costco (and I tried buying the three titles plus one of the free ones you could get to see if it was being done in-store...no dice).

Thanks for the movie ticket info. FYI...I'm not really sure how long Costco keeps stuff out on the shelves...my 8 week time line is purely arbitrary.
