"Artie Lange - It's the Whiskey Talking" - any good?

I listen to the Howard Stern show a lot so I'm pretty familiar with Artie Lange. He can be funny at times although he has a tendency to keep doing the same gag over and over. How's his DVD? I've never seen his standup, but Howard praised it a lot, though he wuz probably just trying to be nice. Pretty cheap price though so I'm thinking it might be worth a shot. Does he get drunk a lot on this DVD? If so, I'll probably get it.

I haven't gotten mine yet...just ordered it yesterday. I've always liked him on Stern's show and his movies, so should be good!

I was kinda dissapointed with the dvd. He does a stand up act for about 45 minutes. Some jokes he has told on the show, but others were pretty funny. I thought it was good but not the best i have ever seen. Then there is a nice 45 minute piece on him preparing for a show, i enjoyed that a lot. If your a big fan i would say buy it for the 9.99. I paid 20 for it on his website so that kinda anoys me. But give it a try if you like him on stern. I thought it would just be longer for the price of 20.00

Well, I finally picked up this DVD for cheap (under $9) and watched it. I thought it was pretty good, with lots of uncensored F-words that Artie can't let fly on the Stern show. The "baby gorilla" does a funny stand-up act and the backstage stuff was interesting.

Now, if only we can get an SE of DIRTY WORK. I want those deleted scenes!

I rented this a while back and find his schtick really kind of vile and funny. He's BTW my roommate's cousin (thought I'd make that known).

Definitely worth it for $9.99. It's good, though I enjoyed the bonus footage more than the actual feature.
