Why is the Spongebob Squarepants Movie $19.99 at Best Buy?

I would expect this to be a major release.

I know Bambi is $15.99 but still Spongebob could be another huge dvd seller like Shrek 2.

they probably didn't think that it would be a big selller. Just PM it to Circuit City's $14.99 price....CC is probably out of their mouse pads by now.

Or you can trade in a few DVDs to Blockbuster and get it for free (regular price $21.99). It comes with a free rain poncho.

It's not free if you're trading in DVDs.

Depending on the location you can price match Ultimate Electronics for $11.95. Best Buy has loss leaders and Sponge Bob is a DVD to help make up that margin. Ultimate must have underestimated demand because they ordered ten at the Phoenix store.

IIRC that deal was only for Tuesday. I don't know if the average Best Buy employee will catch it though.

It is if you're trading in DVDs that you got for free.

I pricematched Best Buy with no problem on Wed. I talked to the Ultimate employee on Wed. and he didn't mention Tuesday only. They only received ten and that was probably gone Tuesday morning.

It's also free if you find $22 on the ground outside their front door!

Best Buy is clearly telling gay people to buy your Spongebob somewhere else. We don't want you here. No demons and no gays allowed.

Not if you had to trade in DVDs to get *those* 'free' ones!

Yea , my co-worker was wondering the same thing. I got my movies for the day and all were less than SBSP.
