I can't believe they're making us wait 11 months after Season 3. I guess they were afraid if they released it too soon, they wouldn't have time to screw it up badly enough.

August. Guess that means they're going to try and hype up the 8th season. There have been MANY questions about whether or not this next season would even happen (after this atrocious 7th) but I guess this confirms it.

Ladies and Gentlemen, behold, my ass!
August does seem a bit late. Maybe they've heard our complaints about the previous seasons and are trying to prep this baby the right way.

I seriously doubt they're giving this new set any more respect than they've already given the others.
Think about it: what would they have to promote for the 8th (and presumably final season) if they released it earlier? There's nothing to promote over the summer. And if they released it now, they'd just be promoting the end of a season and have nothing for the beginning of next. Makes sense...it just sucks.

From tv shows on dvd:
As you can see, we have a new higher-resolution picture of Will & Grace - Season 4's front cover, plus a shot of the backside too (pun intended). We've already mentioned the August 16th release date and the $44.98 price. Now, besides 26 episodes (including the double-length season finale), you'll get several all-new featurettes (details to be announced) plus a fourth season blooper reel. This season guest-starred the likes of Woody Harrelson, Eileen Brennan, Parker Posey, Anne Meara, Beau Bridges, Blythe Danner, Debbie Reynolds, Helen Slater, Lesley Ann Warren, Rosie O'Donnell, Matt Damon, Sandra Bernhart, Suzanne Pleshette, Sydney Pollack, Michael Douglas, Glenn Close, Rip Torn, and Jack's favorite: Cher! What a year this was for the show; it should be a great DVD set if done properly.
