Shoah $59.95 at DeepDiscountDVD

Must be a rerelease for 3/7 - it's 60% off list price. Much more reasonable price for those who are interested in this amazing documentary on 4 discs.

And to think I was about to order this through Overstock.com for $93.54. Just last week I called DDD on another matter and then asked them if they carried Shoah. The rep couldn't find it in their system, so they must have decided to carry it now. Great news!

I was looking at this a couple months ago when it was still OOP (I believe?), so I'll probably pick this up sometime. Probably gonna wait for the inevitable DDD 20% off sale though.

This went OOP near the end of last year and DDD sent out their last remaining copies during the 20% off sale. Looks like it is getting a re-release, which is great news for those who missed it the first time around.

I got the "Limited TIme Offer" email too.. Guess I'd better try to jump on it before the 20% sale.

I also received that email link this morning. I suppose we could wait for their next 20% off sale, but there is no guarantee they will have another one prior to their annual Holiday sale. I will order it now instead.

I just received the e-mail from DDD about an hour ago but the link just turns up "there is no information on this item yet" and a search turns up nothing. Is the deal dead now as they've sold their remaining copies? If so, maybe they should stop sending out e-mails.

It couldn't hurt to call their customer service number (800-264-5076) just to be certain it is indeed now unavailable again. That promotion was a lot more limited than I thought it would be.

I ordered a copy a few days ago but it hasn't shipped yet. Currently my order is listed as "In Process" on the site.

I see you can get a Korean Region 0 copy for $20. I wonder if this version is any worse or different.

Anyone that ordered this have it ship yet? I placed my order March 10 and it is still listed as "In Process." It appeared to be in stock at the time I ordered, and my confirmation email stated they had it in stock.

Well I received mine yesterday, but the fourth disc was a floater and scratched a bit. I called DDD to see about a replacement (they have always exchanged damaged dvds for me in the past), but their rep said the item has been discontinued and that they can only offer me an exchange for credit at this time. It looks like I may have to ship that disk to a resurfacer. My alternative to that would be to return it and to buy it elsewhere, but the cheapest alternative is overstock.com for $93.54!

I also received my copy of Shoah yesterday from DDD and found two floaters when I opened it! Discs 2 and 4 were loose but fortunately not a single scratch on either disc. Hopefully I will not have anymore problems when I finally get a chance to play the discs.

Don't worry about resurfacing if it doesn't skip. Resurfacing has its own set of risks and should only be a last resort.
