West Wing 3/2/05 "A Good Day"
No West Wing thread? Has this show lost that much respect?
I liked this episode, and although it was really corny I loved the "trick" Santos and the Dems pulled on that nasty Speaker of the House (why is the most visible Republican on the show a heartless bastard? I hope we see more of Vinick soon.)
I think Donna, watching Santos discuss the stem cell research issue with the new congressman from Arkansas, realized that he's the right guy to be the Democractic Presidential candidate.
The side story with the "activist" kids was fun, if unrealistic.

Liked the kids.
Thought the House showdown was lame, although it did demonstrate how stupid things can get btwn the parties - cat and mouse politics.
The Canada stuff was pretty funny.

Mary did look pretty good last night, for a change.
Hopefully, there is not that much joking around / stupidity in the real situation room.
The kids subplot was a throwback to the old days - pie in the sky optimism, how i've missed thee.
I could've sworn they did something similar to the Santos vote trick before. And I hate the Cliff character (hated him last time he was on too).

They have done a good job with Donna slowly realizing that she's backed the wrong guy. She's so pleased with her level of responsibility that she hasn't taken a look to see if the VP is really worth her effort, and tonight she really seemed to recognize how much Santos appealed to her.

i saved it on replay and didnt get a chance to watch till late lastnight
i liked it... its good to see some back at the white house, instead of everything from the campaign trail
the kids story was pretty interesting
the bartlett grudge was funny.. like little kids... he started it....
and they are really working hard to make you like santos.. the sleepover in the VP office for stem cell research was pretty cool.
5 more new episodes in a row coming now

Finally saw this as well. I always hoped that Donna would see the light and move to the Santos campaign and it seems like the writers have at least created the possibility of that happening. Bartlett and his grudge was kinda funny. The Canada stuff was just too funny.

I've only watched the reruns of West Wing on Bravo, but I only got up to about 2/3 through season 3. I don't know when I'll get around to watching the rest of the episodes. I was thinking, though, that maybe I should skip ahead and start watching the current episodes so I don't have to worry about hearing spoilers about the upcoming presidential election. Would tonight's episode be a good point to jump on or should I download some previous episodes? Or should I just not even bother with the current stuff?

Well you can certainly skip S5 that's for sure.
You could probably jump in pretty easily right now and pick up things if you wanted. Just don't expect any remotely resembling S1 through 3 in terms of quality.
