FACE/OFF 2 starring Angelina Jolie?? How unnecessary

Darkhorizons is reporting a sequel script for Face/off is being written. Same thing only with chicks this time.

Werb said he'd also had talks with John Woo about writing a follow-up to "Face Off". "Initially, it was just a similiar idea, then we decided we might as well make it a sequel, not a direct sequel, but a sequel all the same. Imagine two females in the Nic and John roles and we're bound for a good time", he said. Werb said he's already suggested Angelina Jolie, as "There's no going past her".

Un-fucking-necessary!

They'd be better making a movie along the same storyline but without making it a sequel. IMO...

I'm actually interested in this. Sounds like it could be cool. Although, I'd watch Angelina read a phone book... doesn't even have to be read outloud.

Unnecessary indeed. BTW, wasn't John Woo supposed to make a teenage mutant ninja turtles movie instead? Crap never mind, that also sounds unnecessary

I read the rest of that interview too. He also talked about his upcoming Tekken movie, and how he'd love to revisit Double Dragon. Seems like Face/Off 2 was his best idea there. Which...isn't that great an idea to begin with. Unless it's about Angelina Jolie and Jessica Alba swapping faces and deciding to get it on with themselves. I'd watch that.

So, no definite plans then? Good, I doubt that this'll ever happen, at least not as a major film. If we see it, I expect to see it right on video shelves beside Timecop 2.

I wouldn't mind. Face/Off is one of my favorite action films and i enjoy it better then Woo's HK work. I'd gladly watch hot women in the lead roles in a gun fight

Well, I think we all believe that this producer is talking about this idea. Of course, that hardly means it'll ever happen.

It's actually just the screenwriter, so that doesn't necessarily mean any of these ideas will actually be made into anything. Hollywood will try anything once, and then do it again to make sure it is dead, so I wouldn't discount anything.

I love Face/Off. And I mean love.

But Face/Off 2?

No.

Just. No.

If it had Angelina Jolie and were called Frock Off, then I would probably see it...alone...at home.

I wouldn't mind having Gina Gershon back. But as I said before this sequel would suck. Jessica Alba is way to young.
