The Dead Zone Season 3 ----> June 3rd!
Lions Gate has given us the heads-up for The Dead Zone - Season 3 DVD Box Set. No details have been passed on, but they did give us the release date. Look for it to hit stores on June 3rd!

good news. do you think Lion Gates will ever release a slipcover to their Season 1 set? it looks funny without one, and most TV sets that are packaged like that have them.

Before it's noticed and pointed out: we're aware that June 3rd is a Friday. Lions Gate gave Gord the date, and he gave it to me to post in that story. We never thought to check to make sure it was a Tuesday!
Gord's looking into it with LG, and we'll post something explaining, correcting, or whatever's necessary just as soon as we know what the deal is. Sorry 'bout that!

To date, NO TV Show on DVD has been released on a Friday, and I doubt DZ3 will be the first.
I was told earlier that the 3rd *is* a wrong date, and that I'll have the correct date tonight. If I don't post it this evening, then I will certainly do so tomorrow. Stay tuned!

TVShowsOnDVD has given us an update:
As we've reported, June 7th is the date to expect The Dead Zone - The Complete 3rd Season on DVD. Now we've got a lot of new details for you, plus box art!
Extras include audio commentary on all 12 episodes by the cast, the crew, and even guest stars Richard Lewis and Greg Grunberg (the latter is also know from Alias). Also look for a Gag Reel, and Deleted Scenes to boot. Plus three exlcusive behind-the-scenes featurettes:
* "Making the Leap to HD": shows the artistic and technical struggle the Dead Zone team faced when deciding to switch from shooting 35mm film to Hi-Def camera technology.
* "Cooking Verite": Takes fans into the Dead Zone traveling kitchen and exposes the secrets of cooking for an entire film crew.
* "Quiet Confidence": Shows how actor Chris Bruno stays in shape
Also look for a "Five Minutes 'Til Mitch" five-minute comedic short that was written and directed by actor John L. Adams. Video is Anamorphic Widescreen and audio is English 5.1 Dolby Surround.
