Was this title part of the recent re-issue of Midnite Movies by MGM?
Many of the MM doubles - including some of the earliest rarities like Who Slew Auntie Roo? seem to have been re-released recently. DVDEmpire, for example, lists nearly all of them as in stock and had a re-release date of this month.
Similarly, DVDSoon but with a date of April 5th for some reason.
However the Oblong Box title was notably absent. Only DeepDiscount showed this one as being re-issued on the 22nd.
MGM's own site shows it's in print, but unhelpfuly only links to Best Buy for orders, which is no good as I am in Britain and they don't ship here.
Does anyone know? My copy has been on backorder for ages from DVDSoon.

Hmmm... they have a few copies on Amazon.com, or you can easily grab a copy off of eBay.

That's where my order is right now.
But then, they had most of the MM "available" all during the time they were Out Of Print.
My order for the Count Yorga/Return Count Yorga one sat with them for about six weeks, until the re-issue.
The only one they definitely have IN STOCK is the Invisible Invaders/Journey to the Seventh Planet one.
Most of the rest show up as being re-released on 5th April...except the one above. And the Oblong Box.
That's why I wanted to know about the Oblong Box. Neither DVDSoon or DVDEmpire show it as being RE-released, but they do show nearly all the others as being re-released. Indeed, DVDEmpire got restocked with most things, but still list Oblong Box as "unavailable" (though Amazon just got new stock)! I thought, just maybe, this one title MGM couldn't get re-release rights for it..
But then, MGM have made a piss-poor job of marketing the things. Shame, cos they made a great job of the titles themselves!

They're great value, and excellent transfers - way better than you'd think for the price andconsidering they;'re not going to sell in massive numbers. Rare titles that I never thought would see the light of day. I'm a huge Vincent Price fan myself, and love the Roger Corman/Poe films particularly.
Pity that MGM made such a terrible job of marketing them though!
