Well, we knew this was coming...Fox announces its R1 release of a 2-disc I, Robot -SE

Fox announces its R1 release of a 2-disc I, Robot - SE.

Title: I, Robot
Starring: Will Smith
Released: 24th May 2005
SRP: $26.98

Further Details
Fox Home Entertainment has also announced the two-disc collector's edition of I, Robot which stars Will Smith. This new set will be available to own from the 24th May, and should retail at around $26.98. The film itself will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen along with both English Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary by Director Alex Proyas and the Screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, a second commentary by Production Designer Patrick Tatopoulis, Editor Richard Learoyd and the visual effects crew and a third audio commentary by I, Robot composer Marco Beltrami. Also included will be a making of featurette, a few outtakes, a still gallery, a Post Production featurette, a Sentient Machines: Robotic Behaviour featurette, a About Science Fiction & Robots feature and another featurette entitled The Filmmakers’ Toolbox & Visual Effects. Completing the package will be extended and deleted scenes, trailers and a few eastereggs.
Yet, another screw-over of R1 customers by Fox with their latest tendency to release single disc editions and then 6 months later, release a 2-disc SE. But with a SRP of $27, I'd expect a sale price of just under $20.

It wouldn't be as bad if they'd just provide a $5 or $10 rebate in these things for those who bought the first release. Granted I don't usually take advantage of them when they are included, but at least it'd help fray the costs of the upgrade.
