Mad Catz HDTV Component Selector any good?

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/238745.asp

Reading the reviews from a few people, seems like it's hit or miss. Any of you guys use this? And I assume you to manually switch it when you want to switch systems? I don't think it would be automatic.

I got it cause I was on a budget (it was this or Pelican pro selector for $180 after taxes (cdn))

Its pretty good I hooked up my dvr and xbox to it and saw no signal interference and it didnt degrade either which I thought it may cause I use the old xbox hdtv pack.

It is manual switching, the switch is on the circular base which also has a suction base so it can be mounted for easy access.

I like it, it is very well made in my opinion for the price (you also get a set of component cables with it to connect it to the tv or receiver) and neither of the sources showed anything that would be considered bad quality in my opinion.

I recommend it

works fine for me. I have my xbox, ps2 and gamecube hooked up with it. Dont see any noticeable difference in quality. If I remeber correctly I got it from around $19.99 at ebgames. For that price I dont see how anyone can complain since it even comes with a pair of component video WITH audio cables included

just don't hook anything up above 480p resolution to it. it doesn't have the bandwidth the carry the full signal.

That's odd I tried soul calibur 2 and had it set to 720p and i had no problems. I actually just checked again and my tv changed the output to 720p even......

I'll hook up ps2 to it and try Gt 4 1080i

Maybe it was just a fluke

Yea It displays my soul calibur 2 in 720p also just fine. I remember exactly how it looked before I had the switch box and when I look at it now going thru box it looks pretty much the same. For me personally im very anal about clarity of sound and picture. Can you provide us with the information that the switch box will have a problem putting thru anything aboce a 480p signal?
