Comcast DVR box: way to record off of it on to PC?

I have the Comcast provided Motorola Dual-Tuner HD DVR cable box. I've been recording some shows and stuff. Is there a way to hook it up to a PC and record items off of it?

As a downgraded standard def 480i file? Any capture card should do it, as long as the box can output HD that way.

As a 1080i/720p HD file? You would need something like the ATI HDTV card.

As a direct digital file? If it's anything like the TiVo (pre-TivotoGo), you'd need some hacking instructions for that specific model. But, I wouldn't know about cable boxes.

I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure it does. However, I'm not sure if any of these outputs are activated on it.

Is it a Motorola 620x with firmware 7.10 or higher? If so, the Firewire should be active and able to be recorded from.

I read somewhere (on another forum) that firewire was supposed to be active on all cable boxes. I also read that it may take a call to technical support to get this done.

Your DVR doesn't have video out? I just got a DVR from Comcast and it has Video OUt which you connect to your VCR and it will record off from your DVR.
