South Park Season 5, disks in reverse order?

What was the reason for them to put the disks in the order of 3, 2, 1 in the package? I thought they were just in the wrong places at first, but then noticed that they matched the backgrounds where they were.

Mine is the same way, which was rather disconcerting. I'm not sure why they chose to do it that way...

The previous releases were in the correct order (i.e. 1,2,3). Although, the first copy of season 2 had two disc number 2's and one disc number 3.

I didn't even notice the wrong order until after I watched 2 episodes from disc 3.

OK, that was my next question; are the correct episodes on the correct disks? I guess they are.

Going by the "disc one", "disc two", etc., yes. But the first time I put them in, I hadn't realized it yet, and I wanted to watch 'The Entity', so I put in the episode with the artwork from 'The Entity', and that was wrong (that should've been disc three, not disc one).

Glad I wasn't the only one this happened to. It doesn't bother me that much though. I just wish I didn't have to sit through that warning crap without being able to fast forward or hit menu to exit out of it, to find out I had the wrong disc in my player. I can switch them around in the set just fine though. Why they packaged it that way is kinda silly though.

What I REALLY want to know is why the titles on the spines are printed in the opposite direction from 99% of DVDs out there?

It's not good for those of us with a touch of OCD!

I swear that Clerks Uncensored and From Dusk Till Dawn did the same thing.. not with artwork, but with "Disc 1" and "Disc 2" labels.. as a result, I watched the Clerks episodes in the wrong order.

I didn't notice until I put in what I thought was disc 1 and the entity was playing.

No, they're in the right order. What aired on ABC as the "pilot" episode was actually the 4th episode. I don't remember the reason though.
