Astro Boy The Complete 2003 Series
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release a special edition of Osamu Tezuka's classic Astro Boy: The Complete Series in a five disc special edition on March 29 for $49.95.
This won't be the series from the 1960s, it will be the 2003 series created in Japan which did air in the U.S. and Canada on the WB Network and Cartoon Network. The five-disc set will contain 50 episodes, 29 of which never aired in the United States. The episodes are digitally mastered and in 16:9 anamorphic widescreen video.
Audio will be in English only, which is sure to upset purists who dislike dubs. The only extra planned is a featurette called The Making of Astro Boy.

I don't understand why there hasn't been a release for the original 1960's series. The whole Gigantor series has been released by Rhino and wasn't Astro Boy bigger on TV back then than Gigantor?
