Okay, when it’s over its over. Unfortunately the demand far exceeded the supply (we were just trying to free up some shelf space) and we’re oblieged to stop the sale early until we can assess what stock remains on hand. I got my discs last night. 4 of the 20 I ordered were not available. They were the more popular ones. I had 1 floater and 1 with no shrinkwrap and 1 unwrapped floater. For $5 each, I guess I did okay. In my zeal to order I accidentally ordered a couple that I already had, so I'll have to try to sell or trade those. How did anybody else do?

I got 16 of 16 ordered. I ordered pretty much as soon as I got the message from FOR, so I think I was in pretty early. The only opened ones that I got were the 2 that were autographed (Scalps and Deathmaster) - which I completely understand. No floaters for me either. Very satisfied with the event.

I received an e-mail from "Miss Kim" (at least that's what the return address said) on Friday, advising me that two of my four selections were out of stock and asking if I'd like to send a list of acceptable replacements for those two. I was grateful for the chance, as there were a couple of titles that I regretted not including in my initial order. Bad news is that DEATHMASTER LE must have gone fast, as that was one of the OOP titles on my order.

I got a refund for $42,(out of 95) but it didn't tell me which titles would not ship. Then I got an email from CCNOW that said my order had shipped and it listed all the titles I had ordered, so I have no idea what's going on.

Got my order, and my Deathmaster LE was cancelled, too. Just got the refund. Too bad they didn't replace it with the normal Deathmaster...

I spot-checked the quality and found:
Queen Kong looks decent; non-anamorhpic letterboxed transfer. Looks hilarious!
The Alien Factor looks pretty grainy and fullscreen, but it's low budget, I can handle it. Also looks hilarious!
The Gamera double feature: These are both fullscreen AIP TV versions (the way it was released in the US) with English dubbing. Destroy All Planets looks pretty bad, a really beat-up, color shifted print. Attack of the Monsters (my favorite!) looks a lot better, nice color, etc., but a little soft. Not as good as my old laserdisc, but I don't have that anymore, so I'll deal. Overall, worth it for $5!

My entire shipment arrived today after ordering less than four days ago. :up: The only complaint I have is that the "Garden of the Dead" DVD wasn't shrink wrapped and didn't have any security stickers attached. Luckily there weren't any floaters so it's all good.
Haven't had a chance to watch any yet, so I can't comment on the quality.
